Astrid almost hadn't planned on even going to Hogsmeade that weekend. She'd been a million and a half times and she usually went with Louis, but they hadn't actually talked about going. They were both getting pretty busy and seeing each other was getting to be harder and harder. Stupid Ravenclaw. Stupid sixth year. She really wished that they would hang out, because she missed him and he was her number one best friend. Things were going on that she wanted to fill him in on and she felt like she didn't know much about his life at this point either, which was abnormal. She almost went to bang on the Ravenclaw common room door this morning and demand he accompany her, but figured if he wanted to hang out with her, he'd come find her. Today's trip to Hogsmeade would have been best, but she didn't want to disturb him from his potential studies. She knew that he had studies, which was actually what she was doing today, but in a more public place.
Which is how she found herself at the Three Broomsticks, craving a butterbeer. Normally she didn't really care for the pub, it was always crowded and damn near impossible to find a table, and it was no where near acceptable for her to study in, but she was thirsty and she liked the noise. She was potentially the only person on the face of the earth who could study with a lot of noise. The Gryffindors were generally pretty loud and they liked to have a good time. Sure, she was a prefect and was supposed to keep them in check, but she didn't like to spoil the innocent fun.
After paying for her butterbeer she made her way through the crowded pub to try and find a somewhat empty table or booth, which proved to be difficult. She sighed, finding nothing, and decided that it was still September and beautiful, and made her way out the door to see if there was table available outside. She really hoped, and was quite relieved to find an open table, though it had a few chairs that she didn't actually need since it was just her, but alas... She wanted to sit already.
There's a lot of words in this post, but I still didn't feel like counting them. Astrid's outfit. Tag James and Charlotte and whoever else wants to invade Astrid's study time |

The chilly September breeze brushed against Jamie’s cheek. The small area was packed with professors and students. Navigating through the thick crowd, Jamie found herself in honeydukes. After purchasing and standing in line for over fifteen minutes she finally pushed her way out of the shop, the sweet aroma of the store following her out. She didn’t come to Hogsmead alone but it seemed that whatever company she arrived with had now disappeared. She elbowed her way through the mass in the streets to the Three Broomsticks. The pub was always crowded although Jamie didn’t mind being surrounded by large groups of people.
She surveyed the store, looking for a spot. She saw a few students that she knew sitting at the tables but she couldn’t spot an open seat. Jamie had no problem sitting down at a random table and making new friends, but there were no seats that allowed her to do that. After she purchased her own butterbeer and stood in the Three Broomsticks for a good five minutes, she was about to head back to the castle but a familiar face stood out to her. Pushing her way out of the pub, she found Astrid sitting alone at a table.
”Astrid!” Jamie waved to the Gryffindor and generously took a seat next to her. ”What brings you to The Three Broomsticks today?”
notes: Hope you don’t mind if I join! Sorry its short, I had to complete a thread with Jamie so she wouldn’t get deleted and I only have a little bit of time to get it done. :/

Post by JAMES SIRIUS POTTER on Apr 25, 2012 23:20:57 GMT -5
The wind was blowing strong against James face, making his unruly hair ever more unruly, if such a thing could be permitted by the laws of rationality. His almost uniform-like attire of black jacket, white round-neck and blue jeans acted like a wind breaker of sorts, but James loved this wind. It was nothing compared to what he felt on a broomstick anyways.
He grinned to himself. It felt so liberating to have an in-built date in Charlotte. There was no running around to meet girls, and explain to them that he wanted a date, not a commitment. He almost felt like whistling. But he desisted, instead making his way over to the Three Broomsticks. Butterbeer was always the best way to kickstart a day at Hogsmeade. He was getting a little impatient though. Charlotte should have been here by now, but she had been held up one way or another.
James knew girls always took the time to dress up. He prayed the amount of time Charlotte was late by would equal the way she looked today. The intense cacophony of noises from the pub could be heard several feet away. James could tell he would never find a seat in that crowd. But outside the pub, he spotted Astrid sitting with a girl James recognized as the beater for Slytherin. Well, Astrid's always fun to talk to, he decided before sauntering over to the table. "Hey, mind if I sit in?" he asked, grinning at Astrid and the other girl.
Put notes and tags here as you please.

Post by PORTIA INEZ DOLLINGER on Apr 26, 2012 0:22:46 GMT -5
Nez had rolled out of bed not really wanting to get the day started but also knowing that she had no hope in going back to sleep. At least this weekend they could take the trip out to Hogsmeade and she wanted to stock up on some sweets and other things. Portia stuff herself into a pair of jeans and a hoodie before dragging a comb through her hair. When she was done she took a second to look at herself before shaking her head and grabbing her purple baseball cap. Nez stuck it on backward and donned her fingerless gloves before taking the trek through the castle and to Hogsmeade.
It was cold! The wind was biting at her cheeks and when she reached the village Portia decided that it was probably best to warm up before setting off anywhere else. She pushed open the door to the Three Broomsticks and scanned them room twice before her eyes landed on her eldest sister. ”Astrid!” Portia almost sang as she made her way to her. James Potter and another girl that Portia didn’t know were also there. Without an invite and without asking Nez pulled up a chair and grinned. ”How is everyone?”

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width: 450px; background-color: transparent;true] I say I'm leaving, but It ain't true
Astrid closed her notebook, which she'd barely had open for two seconds when another body was sitting next to her. She looked up, and saw it was her friend, Jamie Whittney. "Oh, hey Jamie," |
she said with a smile. It had been a while since she'd seen the younger Hufflepuff. She saw so much of herself in her, among other things that she didn't like, but she loved Jamie. She was a sweetie. "Oh, the common room just kind of seemed stuffy. So I figured I'd study with some butterbeer. Unfortunately, it's either get hot and sweaty standing around inside because there's not open tables, or stay out here in the chill. But at least you can breathe out here!" she smiled, and stuck her notebook back in her bag. She was about to ask Jamie what was new when James Potter came up to their table. She smiled. James was one of her best friends. "Of course, James. Have a seat," she said, still smiling as she gestured to the open seat across from her. "Do you know my friend, Jamie? She's in Hufflepuff. Jamie, this is James." To be honest, Astrid was lucky she didn't say their names wrong, since they were so close. But she was talented in the arts of speaking and not stumbling over her words. Astrid must have been quite popular today. Her younger sister, Portia, had joined their table as well. She wasn't quite as polite as James by asking if she could join, but Astrid loved her sister, and didn't mind. She smiled at Nez. "I'm doing pretty well! It's chilly, but still nice out." She smiled at Nez, and offered her some of her butterbeer. "But really, how is everyone today?" [/div] There's a lot of words in this post, but I still didn't feel like counting them. Astrid's outfit.
