“Well, our captain knows. I think a few people on the team suspect, but we haven’t confirmed anything.”

Charlotte winked, and grinned at the Slytherin beauty. When Adin mentioned accessing dorms, Charlotte snorted. “But, does one really wish to enter a boys dorm? They are a bit gross,” Charlotte said, laughing. She’d never been in a boy’s dorm before. But, Charlotte did have boy cousins. Seeing their bedrooms was enough for one lifetime. “I’m sure someone had an older sibling who would send them alcohol. We can always ask around,” Charlotte added. When Charlotte left for school, she only managed to snag three bottles. Anymore, and her parents were sure to notice. “I could try my stepmom. She’s pretty cool, and might send a few bottles. The only problem is, she’s isn’t a witch. So, sneaking them in would be really hard.” Charlotte thought about that plan, in the end, it probably wouldn’t work. Charlotte’s dad was a lawyer, and practiced American law for several years. In his mind, the legal drinking age is still twenty one, and Charlotte was still under that age. “Saturday night, perfect. We can have a party, and full moon Quidditch!” Charlotte snapped her fingers, and smiled. “Well, it hasn't been too terribly cold the last few nights. As long as everyone brings jackets, I’m sure it’ll be fine.” Charlotte nodded. Yes, jackets and warm pants would be fine. They were old enough by now to remember to bring jackets, hats and mittens. “Oh, I’m sorry. Jumpers, not jackets.” Charlotte said with her slight French accent. She was still getting used to the UK terms. Jumpers, not jackets, and flats, not apartments.[/div] tag: Adin!--- words: 227 --- outfit: here template by eliza @ shadowplay

"Rose Weasley right?" Adin furrowed her brow. "How'd she find out? Did you confess?" She nudged Charlotte playfully in the side. A laugh bubbled out of her mouth when Charlotte mentioned how bad boy's dorms could be. "The ones I've been in have always been fairly clean, but maybe Gryffindor blokes are slobs!" In reality she reckoned that all males were messy, but she knew the school had rules on dorm cleanliness, no doubt resulting from some particularly rank quarters. So she'd never feared sneaking into a room, minus the possibility of tripping over a loose sock.
"Maybe try a Weasley or another one of those massive families with loads of older kids?" Surely some Hogwarts graduate would take pity on their souls and contribute to the cause. "Actually, I know some people, I think. Past Quidditch players who graduated." she grinned and shrugged. Majority of them owed her, or had been flings. They would likely be more than willing to help her out. "Cool stepmom?" Adin made a wistful face. "You're lucky for that. If my mum had any idea what I do on the weekends, even the devil himself would run!" Hopefully it would never be an issue.
"A lovely plan indeed." Adin smirked. If everything fell into place, she didn't doubt that people would be talking about this party for weeks to come. Her and Charlotte seemed to make a fabulous team. "Who knows what else the two of us could cook up this year, if this is only the fall?" she thought to herself. It was her goal to make this her best year at Hogwarts yet. It was her last chance to do so. Next year she would have to face the real world, a deadline she wasn't too eager to reach. "Might be a good idea to avoid dresses too..." Adin mused, pursing her lips. Skirts and broomsticks weren't the best of companions, though the boys in attendance might disagree with that statement. She laughed as Charlotte corrected her speech to "proper" phrases. "Oh don't ruin your cute accent!" she pleaded. "Else I'll have to break out my American words and you'll want to curse yourself, trust me!"

“Well, she kinda sorta walked in on us one day.”

Charlotte coughed, blushing slightly. “We were down by the lake, fooling around, and Rose kinda showed up,” Charlotte trailed off. She threw her hands up, as if to ‘ what are you doing to do?’. “I swear, I’ve never met such a large family. How many Weasley kids are there?” Charlotte asked, trying to mentally count them. “I’m always getting them confused. I always forget who is who’s sibling, and who is who’s kid. I swear, I need a family tree, just to keep it all straight!” Charlotte laughed, thinking of the biggest family she knew. There was the Wright family from ASoM, there was eleven of them total, all from five different siblings. It had taken Charlotte at least six months to get the family history down. When she thought about it, Charlotte realized her own family was just as bad. Her father was one out of seven, and Charlotte had seventeen other cousins. “I still think she’s trying to win me over, even though she’s been in my life since I was six.” Charlotte rolled her eyes, thinking of the packages she received every month. They were always over the top, with spending money, muggle sweets and magazines. “My mom died when I was only a baby,” Charlotte offered up. “Oh, what American words do you know?” Charlotte asked eagerly. She loved to hear people say what they thought certain American words meant. Most of the time, they were horribly wrong. "Well doesn't that sound awkward!" Adin threw her head back laughing, imagining the look on Charlotte's face being caught red handed with the Potter boy. It was mildly less embarrassing than being caught fooling around by a professor, which had happened to Adin at least three times in her school career. She didn't often feel like turning invisible and disappearing, but those incidents had definitely had that effect on her. It wasn't something she wished to experience again in life.
"Like, two hundred and forty three? Too many for sure." Adin said shaking her head. She could scarcely tolerate her single sibling, let alone an extensive family tribe with more various cousins, aunts and uncles than she could keep track of. Her father had been an only child, and her mother didn't talk to her sister. All her grandparents were dead. It kept things nice and simple, and people weren't in her way. Adin knew that there were plenty of people who loved being close to their families, she just wasn't one of them. "Oh Charlotte, I'm sorry." she said when Charlotte said that her mom had passed away when she was an infant.
"Only the offensive sort used in terrible rap music!" Adin stuck her tongue out at Charlotte, laughing. She glanced at her watch again, her eyes widening with shock as she saw the time. "Bloody hell, it's 11:30!" Well past curfew, not that either girl really cared, but Adin had an early morning potions test that she needed to be awake and functioning for. She shoved the rest of her belongings into her bag. "Thank you so much for the help in muggle studies! I owe you. I'll send out party invites tomorrow, yes?" Adin grinned at Charlotte, fairly certain that she had found a new best friend.

“Oh, it was incredibly awkward. Especially since James and Rose are cousins, and I didn’t know that!” Charlotte giggled. There was nothing worse than being caught. The worst was being caught by parents, or any sort of teacher. Luckily, Charlotte had been lucky. There were only a few times she had been caught, most of them being at parties. The good thing about that was most of the time, people were drunk. No one would remember come morning.
“Not to mention there are several different branches! It’s insanity! But, I shouldn't make fun. My family is fairly large. My dad is oldest of seven! Last time I counted, I had seventeen cousin,” Charlotte said. She quickly did some mental math. Yes, seventeen was right. As Charlotte thought about it, Aunt Marina and Uncle Joseph were expecting another baby come March.
“Oh, rap is the worst! Sometime I’ll have to teach you American slang, and you can teach me UK!” Charlotte imitated Adin, and stuck her tongue out. When Adin announced the time, she jumped up. As a prefect, she wouldn't get in trouble, but Charlotte didn’t like to risk it. “Yes! Send the invites tomorrow, and I will send you an owl if I hear anything about extra patrols!”
