Personality: One of Jamie’s most defining traits is her curiosity. No matter where she is or what she is doing she always asks; “why?” Occasionally this causes her to come off as a smart mouth to other teachers and students but she doesn’t care what other people think about her. Jamie knows who she is and doesn’t compromise herself for anyone else. She has a go-getter attitude and no task is too large for her, she is never afraid to pick up a job and will finish if it even if it kills her. Jamie is fiercely loyal and has the capability to be a furious enemy.
The sorting hat sat on Jamie’s head longer than any of the other first years, for Jamie had the courage of a Gryffindor, the ambition of a Slythrien, the intuitiveness of a Ravenclaw and the loyalties of a Hufflepuff. As he dived into Jamie’s persona he found that above all Jamie was accepting and true and her heart belonged in Hufflepuff.
A lot of students have assumed that she’s a pushover because of her house but Jamie stands her ground and fights back. She doesn’t let people treat her badly and won’t stand for abuse. She’s quicker to grab for her wand rather than her fists and aspires to work with Dragons when she grows up. A lot of people who complain about Jamie call her childish and weird and she isn’t very mature. When it comes to relationships, Jamie is spirited and plays hard to get. She doesn’t find herself getting a lot of love interests and she doesn’t really care for it. Jamie likes to have small groups of friends that get in trouble together. She makes lasting bonds and isn’t afraid to talk about her feelings, she’ll act like she wants to listen to everyone else’s troubles but her listening skills aren’t as developed as her talking skills.
Jamie immediately sees everyone as her equals and believes everyone deserves the same treatment. She doesn’t think people with ‘authority’ have any power over her, but will listen to what they say if she respects them. A natural hero, Jamie will risk her well-being for anyone that is in trouble.

A poor traveler from America, Matthew Whittney arrived in London with barely a dollar in his pocket. He was seventeen when bought his plane ticket from a small town in Ohio to London. Eventually, after working in manual labor until he was twenty three, he landed a job in an upper-class restaurant. He started out as a bus-boy than learned to cook and became an esteemed chief. That was when he met Emmaline Kessler, the owner’s daughter. Eventually they married and had their first child; Jamie Louise Whittney.
As Jamie progressed in age, Matthew and Emmaline realized that their child was different. There were strange happenings around the house, lights flickering, objects changing color and random explosions.
Before they tried to take her to a doctor, they talked to Jamie’s godmother, Louise Francis. Little did they know, Louise and Jamie were both magical. Louise explained to the best of her ability that Jamie was a witch but at first the couple didn’t believe it. Over time they accepted Louise’s ‘theory’ and embraced Jamie’s magical abilities. When Jamie received her acceptance letter to Hogwarts she was thrilled.
