Personality: Teddy is the kind of guy who always appears to have a smile on his face. He sees the silver lining in more or less everything, and his outlook on life is thoroughly optimistic. This makes it difficult to stress him, and even in situations where many others might feel pressured, he is able to maintain a level head and think clearly. Sometimes, though, he might even be a bit too relaxed. While not downright lazy, he does have a tendency to leave things until the last minute, believing that things will work themselves out. Naturally, that isn’t always the case, which would probably be worse if he didn’t also have the ability to turn bad situations around and look at what might be gained from it. In addition to this, he is very welcoming. He opens up to people easily and has no problem letting them into his life, being a firm believer that there is some good in absolutely everyone.
This does in no way mean that Teddy is always a joy to be around, however, because he isn’t. He does have a temper, even if it doesn’t reveal itself all that often, and when he becomes angry, he finds it very difficult to forgive. Yes, he believes that everyone deserves a chance, but that does not always extend to second chances. On the other hand, he is extremely loyal to his loved ones and is willing to put up with a great deal from them. Another trait to be noted is the stubbornness he sometimes displays, which makes it difficult for him to admit that he might occasionally be wrong. If he truly feels strongly about something (which he usually doesn’t, but it has been known to happen), it will be very difficult for him to see things from a different point of view. The same applies to those he feels have wronged him. If he’s first made up his mind to be upset with someone, chances are he isn’t going to change his mind or even see their side of the story.

General History: Nymphadora Tonks and Remus Lupin are both renowned names in the wizarding world for the contributions during the Second Wizarding War. Teddy, their only son, was only a few months old when they were both killed, however, so he never knew more about his parents than what he was told. Instead, he was raised by his maternal grandmother Andromeda, whose husband Ted had died during the war. Not knowing his parents was never much of an issue to Teddy because he had the Weasleys and Potters around, functioning as a second family, and although he was interested in tales of his parents in his early childhood, he always resented being compared to them and that the people around him always seemed to want to bring up a past he knew nothing about.
One thing he always enjoyed, however, was being a metamorphmagus. This was a trait he discovered before he could even lift his head, and it always served to amuse both him and others. Because of his constantly changing hair, Andromeda was reluctant to have him spend time with muggle children, claiming that he would have terrified them. She was probably right, of course, but back then, it annoyed him a great deal. Still, he was quite content to spend his time with the many Potter and Weasley children as well as a fair amount of other witches and wizards, so even though his grandfather had been a muggleborn, he grew up knowing very little about the muggle world. Therefore, it was no surprise when he started displaying signs of magic, and a given that he received his Hogwarts letter the year he turned eleven.
Even at Hogwarts, Teddy often found himself being compared to his parents. As soon as the Sorting Hat was placed on his head, for instance, it pointed out that he was a boy with extraordinarily brave parents. He was not particularly amused by this at the time, but he was still glad to be sorted into Gryffindor because it was the former house of so many family friends and people he admired. He wouldn’t really have minded being sorted into any of the other houses - not even Slytherin, since his grandmother was one and he admired her a great deal - but honestly, he had been hoping for Gryffindor.
His Hogwarts years weren’t particularly extraordinary. He showed an affinity for Defense Against the Dark Arts from the start, and was also quite talented when it came to Care of Magical Creatures. Someone made the mistake of pointing out that the latter was probably because of his father, which caused him to hex the kid. Being reminded in such a derogatory manner that his father was a werewolf was not something he approved of. Except for that, however, he was simply an average student with a tendency to procrastinate, and who fairly often got himself detentions for either not completing his homework or breaking some rule or other. It was never anything major, though, and he was usually well liked by both students and professors.
Around the middle of his fifth year, however, he suddenly realized that OWLs were coming up and that those grades might actually affect his life. Unsurprisingly, Andromeda also helped remind him of this a lot. Either way, he pulled himself together and worked hard, causing him to do very well on his OWLs, and although he went back to procrastinating and slacking off a great deal in his sixth year, his seventh year was devoted almost entirely to studying.
After graduating, he applied to the auror training programme and was accepted. During training, he started dating Victoire Weasley, the girl he had secretly had a crush on for years. He completed his training and started working as an auror, and for a while, all was well. After Victoire completed her training, though, she was offered a job in France and decided to transfer. She wasn’t a believer in long distance relationships and the two broke up, which upset Teddy greatly. He was still heartbroken when he started dating another auror, Alicia, not long after. Their relationship was never meant to be serious, but suddenly, Alicia announced that she was pregnant. Neither one of them had wanted that to happen, but they agreed to keep the baby nonetheless, and eight months later, little Nymphadora was born.
Although they weren’t exactly the perfect family, they made things work. When Alicia went back to work, they simply made sure to work different shifts so that one could stay home with the baby. Unfortunately, though, life did not stay that simple for very long. Only a few weeks after Alicia returned to work, she was struck by a very dangerous curse. For several days, she was in a coma at St. Mungo’s. Teddy hardly left her side. Still, after almost a week, he was told that she was dead, leaving him with an eight month old child to take care of by himself. Fortunately, he had his grandmother as well as the Potters and Weasleys to help him. Now, four months later, life is still fairly chaotic, but Teddy is adjusting to life as a single father and is doing his best to make both their lives as normal as he can.
