For the past few days Charlize had chosen not to partake in any meals with the rest of the staff in the Great Hall and had taken them in her office. The evenings had been times for her to get out of the castle and to wander wizarding britain. It had been a good few days of exploring the country. It was quieter than France but something she could quite easily get used to. Feeling happier about her decision to move, and the decision to teach Charlize decided to go and see Geoff.
Having acquired two cups of coffee and placing a charm on them to keep them warm she made her way through the castle. It was well after dinner and she knew from some of her students that they’re astronomy class was finishing now. She only hoped that he didn’t think that she was rude for keeping herself tucked away for days on end when they had said they would do coffee that evening of the first day. She had just needed some time to adjust.
Charlize had reached the bottom of the tower where a few stragglers were leaving the lesson and she moved up the spiralling staircase. At the top of the stairs she stopped by the door and said, “Professor Wallace. I believe we agreed on coffee?” The accent was still strong and did not seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. Charlize had a small smile on her face. Something about Geoffrey Wallace made her nervous. It was not their first meeting but she still felt nervous. And perhaps it boiled down to his openness and his looks.

Geoff looked up and smiled. "Please come in Professor Guy." he said chuckling as he sent the last students on their way. "How have you been? Haven't seen you in a few days at breakfast." he said smiling as he looked at her. He moved around the office and put his office into order. Putting the papers and charts away as he cleared space for her. "Have a seat." he said as he chuckled.

Moving into his office she watched as he tidied the room slightly. Her cheeks burned slightly as he noticed that Charlize had not been around much. “I’ve not been too bad. The teaching takes up a lot of time, and then I just wanted to see Britain.” she admitted to him. “Yourself, Geoffrey?” she asked him politely in return. There was no harm in letting him know she had taken to wandering. Charlize took the seat she had been offered and placed the coffee cups on the table.
“I didn’t know how you took yours. They’re both black with two sugars.” Charlize informed him. Coffee at this time was probably not advisable but she felt she owed it to him since she had said so at that breakfast. Chaz took a quick glance at his face and back away into the mug of dark liquid. “How have your classes been?”

Geoffery moved and sat down next to her. "That's good." he said as he looked over at her. Finishing up he moved to sit next to her. "Thank you for the coffee." he said as he looked at her. "Well Britain is pretty interesting but Ireland is Amazing." he said simply. "Have you been there yet?" he asked. Taking the coffee from her. "Thank you this is fine. Just a bit of cream the next time since you didn't know." he said as he looked at her. "Thank you." He said again as he grinned. "My classes have been good. Bit hectic since I'm new here but otherwise good." he said as he looked at her. "How about yours?"

“You’re welcome.” she said to him as he thanked her for the coffee. Charlize then shook her head, causing her hair to bounce on her shoulders and around her face. “I haven’t been to Ireland yet. I have heard some stories though.” She gave a small laugh. Apparently the Irish community was quite lively and the country itself beautiful. It was a place she had read about and wanted to spend more than an evening there so she would wait until she was free for a weekend.
“I shall remember for next time.” Charlize said. She had dropped things like cream and such to look after her waist. Vain perhaps but it stopped arguments with Nathan and it was taking some time to break out of habits that he and their marriage had instilled in her.
Her attention was caught by him again as he said his classes were hectic. She nodded, “Same really. I have a few curious first years wanting to know a lot and on the other extreme a few seventh years thinking they know it all.” Charlize was coping though. All in all the students were nice enough and she was happy here. “Did you go to school here?” Charlize asked him before sipping at the warm coffee. She was curious about him.

He smiled as he looked at her. "Well, One of these days I suggest a visit." he said smiling as he looked out one of the windows. "So, I seem to remember you saying something about not being able to look at the stars before without having all the work attached." Geoff said with a smile. "I didn't go to school here." he said. "I actually Attended and taught at Durmstrang for a while." he said as he answered her question. "I know I don't have an accent but that's just from a spell I learned while there." he said as he chuckled. "Don't want to walk around speaking bad english because of an accent." he grinned.

”Do you know the area well?” Chaz asked him brightening slightly. ”I was planning on a weekend there at some point.” If not a weekend maybe she would spend her Christmas there. After all she would not be welcome back at home. If she was going to spend the holiday alone she may as well spend it in a place that she had heard to be a great place. Christmas would be a strange affair this year, that was for certain.
”I believe I told you how I could not do work if there were stars around.” Chaz corrected him. Work always took a backseat to the stars. And to rain. They were the two things that distracted Charlize more than anything. For Chaz, dark winter nights often saw her sitting outside until late.
Taking a sip of her coffe again she said, ”Mmm. Durmstrang. You don’t sound like it.” The Geoff explained. Charlize couldn’t help but laugh. ”Really Geoff? I dread to think what people think of my accent and my English then.” But she could understand. She knew of a few people from Durmstrang and the accent was somewhat more thick and less clear than the French. Chaz was slowly beginning to feel more comfortable with him.

"I do know the area pretty well. My brother lives there when he's not working." he said as he looked at her. Smiling slightly he nodded at the correction. "Alright then." he said. "Would you like to take a look?" he asked as he smiled. "The sky is clear and we have a beautiful view tonight." He said as he looked at her. His eyes watching hers as he grinned. "I happen to love your accent. It makes you unique." he said. "Especially here." he said.

She nodded and said, ”I think I should really meet your brother. He sounds like a very interesting person.” An auror and living in Ireland. ”Perhaps he would also like to join us if we decide to head up there.” Charlize suggested. Geoff then mentioned going out to look at the stars and another smile broke out on her face. ”I would love to go and look. Do you have a spare telescope?”
Chaz placed her mug on the table not really wanting anymore coffee. She was still struggling with the fact that it was not French, She got up from her seat and waited for him to join her. When he mentioned her accent Charlize felt her cheeks heat up and looked at the floor before saying, ”Thank you... I’m sure your own accent did not sound as bad as you think it did.” With that she swiftly moved out of his office hoping the blush would fade before he joined her.

He smiled as he stood up. Taking a long drink of his coffee with a happy sigh he opened the door for her "I have a few spare telescopes you could use." he said as he motioned for her to join him. He watched her follow him out of the office and chuckled. "I'm almost certain it was." he said as he led her to the door out onto the roof. "Now then. Lets take a look." he said as he offered her a telescope.

“You shall have to let me hear it and decide for myself.” Charlize told him. They were standing outside again and Charlize took the telescope from him. She set it up slowly and then leant over to look through it. “Anything interesting you’d suggest I look at?” She enjoyed the beauty of the stars but of course he had the knowledge and he would tell her what was best to gaze at.
Chaz straightened up and looked to Geoff. She felt a small blush rise in her cheeks as her thoughts wondered to how she would like to perhaps gaze over him. She then looked away from him wishing the red away from her face.

He smiled at her. "If you look that way. You can see both Mars and Jupiter." he said as he set up a telescope next to her. Smiling at her broadly as he answered her question. "I'll let you hear my accent one of these days. Maybe as an incentive to have you come around more often though." he thought aloud. "I should keep postponing it." he added as he looked over at her with a small chuckle. His eyes catching her blush as he smiled.

She swung the telescope in the direction he had said and looked over but then frowned. Chaz then heard what he said, “Perhaps I should take you up on that offer just so I can hear it.” Feeling a bit out of her depth with what might or might not have been flirting, Charlize cleared her throat. ”Um, I still can’t see Mars and Jupiter.” She had always been useless at finding things. ”I feel like I am back in school.”
Of course her school days had not been so long ago. Part of her wished she could go back. She always wished she could go back but that was not a possibility. The wind was blowing and Charlize brushed the hair away from her face. From her left hand there was the glint of a gold band as she was once again wearing her wedding band. It had been so weird to feel it not there and the unsightly tan line had been doing her head in so to avoid questions she had placed it back on.

Geoff nodded and chuckled. "Here." he said as he moved over behind her and put his hand on hers. "They are right here." he said as he moved her telescope slightly up and to the left Putting Mars and Jupiter right in the middle. He pulled his hand back slowly and felt something. Looking over at her hand he saw the wedding band and grimaced lightly. Pulling back a bit he moved over to his telescope again

Geoff had moved behind her and Chaz felt her stomach turn as he put his hands on hers to guide the telescope. She had been too far to the right. He was lingering and Chaz managed to get out a, ”Thank you.” He was moving his hands away and she tried not to frown as she glance into the telescope again. This time she could see the two planets sitting there in the sky. ”Wow.” Charlize could not fathom how something so far away could be so simple.
Once more she moved away and sat on the edge of the tower. ”I envy you Geoff. You get to be up here. I on the other hand am stuck down in the dungeons. I say you should visit me with coffee next time.” Charlize gave him a genuine smile. His company was delightful and whatever was turning her stomach was definitely not negative.
