Personality: At a glance, Clementine is simply a sweet, carefree and slightly eccentric girl. She seems to always have a smile on her face, and making her laugh is not exactly difficult. Her attitude towards the rest of the world is generally positive, and she isn’t afraid to try new things. In fact, she is a restless and very impulsive person who never sits still for long. She gets bored easily and always craves some kind of new experience, open to just about anything. This makes her quite unpredictable, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. To her, being predictable would be the same as being boring, which she would absolutely hate. This is also part of the reason why she simply loves change, whether it be simply changing her hairstyle or suddenly deciding to travel to a different country.
Clementine is very much ruled by her emotions. She listens to her heart and tends to follow it rather than think logically about things. She never doubts her intuition and has the sometimes unfortunate tendency to judge people on first impressions and the general vibe she gets from them. This means that even though she tends to think of herself as a friendly person, she doesn’t always give everyone a chance, and even though she isn’t downright rude, it’s easy to tell who she does and doesn’t like. She’s generally more reserved around those she dislikes and less eager to share her thoughts or things about herself than she is around others. Then again, she sometimes becomes a bit too friendly too fast around people who appeal to her, and is very open about her thoughts and feelings. Her social skills can sometimes seem a bit off because of this need to share whatever crosses her mind at any given time.
She is also very affectionate and has a tendency to touch people a lot, which can make her seem like a bit of a flirt. That is also the case, as she is very fond of boys. Although she appears very sweet and innocent, she does have a slightly less wholesome side. This is also apparent in her tendency to not always follow the rules simply for the thrill of it. She wouldn’t mind “borrowing” a broom and just experimenting with flying for a while, for instance, and doesn’t mind sneaking off into the Forbidden Forest late at night. Like so many others her age, she also enjoys a good party and a few drinks, and she also hates being caught. Being the creative person she is, though, she has an ability to think of all sorts of wonderful lies and explanations, which often helps her get away with things more easily than she otherwise would.

General History: Johan Meyer was a Swiss doctor who knew nothing about the world of magic until he met Vivienne, a pureblood witch, in the Alps one winter. The two hit it off immediately and soon started dating. For the first few months, all was well, but after being introduced to Johan’s family, Vivienne realized that their relationship was becoming increasingly serious, and if that was going to continue, she would eventually have to reveal that she was a witch. At first, Johan refused to believe her and started doubting both their relationship and her mental health, but when Vivienne decided to demonstrate her magic in order to prove that she was telling the truth, there could be no doubt. This also made Johan uneasy at first, but he came to accept the facts soon enough. The couple moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where he proposed to her a year later, and unsurprisingly, she said yes.
Their first child, Celestine, was born two years later, quickly followed by twins Capucine and Coraline. They had more than enough with three daughters and agreed not to have any more children, but about eight years later, when the girls were no longer so little, Vivienne decided that she would like another child. Johan agreed with her, and Clementine was born the following August. The older girls were absolutely thrilled to have another sister, and throughout her childhood, Clementine was more or less treated like a living doll, always being dressed up and made up or having her hair fixed by one or more of her doting sisters. They spent large parts of the year at Beauxbatons as well, though, which both made them even happier to see her whenever they got home and meant she got her parents’ undivided attention at all other times. Growing up in Switzerland meant she was exposed to several cultures and languages, and she, as well as her sisters, learned to speak fluent French as well as decent German and English.
By the time she was old enough to go to Beauxbatons, her sisters had already graduated and moved out. Therefore, unlike many others with older siblings, she was never burdened with just being an annoying little sister or having to live up to their reputations. If she had felt that kind of pressure, things might have been more difficult for her, as her sisters were all highly intelligent women and generally excellent students, while Clementine’s talents lay elsewhere. She was always extremely creative and quite athletic, for instance. Fortunately for her, her parents were also able to see the values of their younger daughter not being exactly like the others, and they always encouraged her to be herself and do was she wanted to do – as long as it wasn’t dangerous, of course. Therefore, she tried all sorts of things throughout her early teens, most of which didn’t interest her for long.
In her fifth year, Clementine realized that she was genuinely unhappy at Beauxbatons. Nothing bad had ever happened to her there and she had many close friends, but she desperately needed some kind of change. She talked to her parents about this a great deal during the Christmas holidays, and during those conversations, she suggested that maybe she could go to a different school. Due to the lack of magical schools, though, that meant moving to a school in a different country. Johan was skeptical, but Vivienne managed to convince him by pointing out that Beauxbatons was already located in France and that going to the United Kingdom wouldn’t be that much further. Plus, Celestine worked at the French Ministry as an ambassador to Great Britain and rented an apartment in London, so it wasn’t as though Clementine would be completely isolated from her whole family.
Therefore, after her fifth year, Clementine transferred to Hogwarts. Since she wasn’t a first year, she didn’t have to go through the sorting ceremony and such, and it was quietly decided that she would be placed in Hufflepuff.
