RAMSEY BRUIS SMITH
INTRODUCTION
Full name: Ramsey Bruis Smith
Nickname(s): Smithy, Rams, Ginger, Farmboy (but only by Mckenna)
Age: sixteen
Gender: male
House: Hufflepuff
Year: sixth
APPEARANCE
Play By: Will Merrick
Style: Ramsey's style screams lack of thought. If it was not for his mother, he'd be wearing plaid tuxedos to formal events. He never thinks about what he's wearing and has even gotten teased by it in his younger years. Still, he has never found a reason to care. He continues to wear the weirdest things without knowing how silly he looks.
Distinguishing Marks: super duper amount of freckles
PERSONALITY
Likes: drugs, parties, magical creatures, herbology, Mckenna Cauldwell, neon colors, loud music, long legs, goofy people, hiking,
Dislikes: Mckenna's bitchy side, current learning environments, homework, party poopers, assholes
Boggart: being a virgin forever, growing up
Patronus: Labrador retriever
Strengths: caring, funny, farming, growing pot
Weaknesses: Mckenna Cauldwell, really good pot, anything that will keep him from doing homework.
Personality:
Ramsey is the happy-go-lucky type that makes up the Hufflepuff stereotype. Anything for the party, never grow up and become a dull old drone. The boy is a big goof and is hardly ever taken seriously. He's the comedian that makes fun of all the serious issues going on in his friends' lives. The only time he can be seen serious is when he's cleaning out the stalls on his farm back home. But then that's probably because he's more so focused and trying not to breath the toxic air of horse and cow waste. If he really wanted to, he would try to be a comedian on a Wizarding Talk Show. That would be the dream job, just babbling about absolutely nothing and getting paid for it.
It takes a lot to make this boy mad. Keeping big secrets from him that involve him immensely is probably the number one thing to succeed. To him that's human nature; no one likes secrets about them being kept from them. Other than that, it would have to be two sided people that grind his gears. When they're with them, they're fully loose and wild and silly and normal, but when other people are around they suddenly change and put up this annoying guard. He never understood that. Why waste time and be a bitch to people when they're doing nothing wrong? It's like hearing that people cannot be trusted, which he disagrees with entirely. So far in his time at Hogwarts he's met plenty of people who are trustworthy. Where ever that bad batch is, it must be a small one.

General History:
Zacharias Smith and Susan Bones seemed to be at opposite ends of the spectrum during their years of Hogwarts. Still, that did not stop them from being the closest of friends. When Susan's stress levels began to skyrocket, Zach was one of the few not pestering about it. What kind of friend would he be if he constantly reminded Susan that a lot of her family members were dead due to Death Eaters? Finally, when she was living with her aunt Amelia Bones, the bad luck continued, and Amelia was killed. That same year she had lost the D.A. coin given to her and was not aware that the other members had gone off to help fight the attack against Hogwarts. Instead, she hid herself in Zach's dorm, in fear that she would be the next and last one in her family to die. Zach had stayed with her, hoping to make his friend feel a bit safer.
When seventh year rolled around, Susan was hardly seen at the castle. Some people thought that she had ran away, aware of what the last name Bones meant to Lord Voldemort. The fact of the matter was that Susan had stopped going to classes and when Neville brought back Dumbledore's Army she instantly joined up and lived in the Room of Requirement. She spent that year living in fear of her life, but this did not stop her from helping to fight in the Battle of Hogwarts alongside her peers and professors. And while Zach should have been their with his friends, he instead fled and returned home. When this happened a fight broke out between Zach and Susan and the red haired girl was certain that she would not forgive Zach.
Three years after the war, Zach and Susan ran into each other while on the way to work at the ministry. Zach seemed to have matured from the rude and pesky kid that had harassed the Gryffindors more often than not. Susan, though still seeming shaky and constantly afraid of ever apparating again had become a beautiful woman. At first, she treated Zach poorly, upon seeing him, she had felt nothing but rage at how he had left her and the others. Zach simply promised that he would do everything he could to make it up to her. She took his apology and agreed to have a catch-up day on the next weekend to come. When Saturday rolled around, the two acted like they had back in fourth year; close, and trusting of each other. Susan even realized how much she missed Zach's friendship. A year later the two had started dating and by the time they were twenty-four they were married.
The one thing Zach felt sorry for was leaving that war, because every night since they had first gotten together, Susan would wake in fright from nightmares of the battle and Death Eaters. The color green was banned from their two bedroom flat along with anything black. A year into their marriage, Susan became pregnant with their first son, and throughout that pregnancy the two were constantly worried that she would have a miscarriage. Zach's mother was practically living with the newly weds trying to help keep Susan calm and at peace. When Susan became pregnant again, it was a repeat, only this time Zach's mother focused more on their son than Susan. Eventually though, Zach's mother became tired of going from the Smith's farm to the flat and so suggested that they all moved into the big farm house. Zach and Susan did not think twice about it and took up the offer.
The farm was big enough for at least three more kids, but Susan did not want to go through any other pregnancies, especially with Mrs. Smith becoming more and more frail. By the time Ramsey was five his Grandmother passed away and the memorial service was held on the farm. That left the family and Mr. Smith, who did not approve of Susan and the random screams in the middle of the night she brought. Unfortunately, Mr. Smith was left with the choice of kicking his family out of his house and letting some strangers take over running the farm or let them stay and inherent all the animals and land. He obviously chose the latter, knowing that Zach would remember what to do when he died. Which actually came a lot sooner than anyone was expecting. He had simply been walking through town and had the unfortunate luck to be hit by a drunk driver.
Once more there was a funeral at the farm and Ramsey clearly remembers the grief he had given his mother about wearing a black suit. When all those people dressed in black arrived, Ramsey saw his mother have a panic attack, and started muttering about Death Eaters being gone. He cannot remember what exactly he said, but it must have been funny because his mother laughed and took her mind out of the past. Since then, whenever something seemed bad Ramsey would make jokes about the situation to make everyone feel better. Somewhere down the line he just became the jokester, the dork, the happy-go-lucky one. That even stuck with him when he got to Hogwarts.
Much like his parents and older brother, he landed himself in Hufflepuff. It did not take him long to make friends with the people of his house. In his third year he started joining the older students and began sneaking out to fun places. This allowed him to meet Mckenna Cauldwell. His first impression of her was not a fond one, seeing as she had to point out how Ramsey was a bit of a loser. Still, they ended up in the same social group and over the years have developed a strange love/hate bond between them. So occasionally, Ramsey gets jealous when Mckenna is talking to some bloke that isn't him. That doesn't mean anything. Just a school boy crush, and nothing else. Once he gets through his sixth year it will be one more year of school and then back to working on the farm.
