Ivanka Krum sat underneath a tree, frowning at her timetable. Her last year at Hogwarts wasn't going to be much fun if she had to attend lessons every single day. The fact wasn't having to attend lessons every day. The difficult thing was having to pay attention. It had been so easy not to care about what the Professors taught last year. If she knew it was that easy, she'd done it sooner and copied her homework from the students who actually paid attention in class. Of course, that wasn't her. No, correction. That had been her before she was fifteen. Now Iva was seventeen and found that she really couldn't give a damn about what her future held. Deep down she did care. She had been full of dreams and ideas just a mere two years ago.
The blonde sighed, wishing she could crumple up that piece of paper and burn it up. Or throw it into the lake. But she'd made a promise to herself to pay attention to class. To attend her lessons and actually do her homework. Oh well, at least she didn't have to be early or on time to class, right? Ivanka found that loophole in the promise she made to herself and smiled. It was a silly thing to smile about. She stuffed her timetable back into her bag, before taking out her pack of cigarettes. Trying to quit the habit she'd picked up last year was tough. “One thing at a time, chéri.” She said to herself, lighting up the cigarette and placing it between her lips.
She stretched out her legs, looking at the pair of boots beside her. Her father had gotten her those last year. Well, he said he had in that letter he sent her. But those were the latest fashion items and Iva highly doubted it was him who bought them. More like his current girlfriend. But, a gift was a gift. Besides, Ivanka had a weakness for boots. The blonde looked around her, wondering if anyone was going to object to her stripping off and taking a dive into the lake. There certainly was no rule against doing it. Iva took off her jacket and placed it beside her boots. It would be a waste not to finish this cigarette first though.

Ivanka would probably die younger, considering how many cigarettes she smoked daily. She didn't smoke an entire pack daily, but depending on the stress level, Ivanka thought she could do so. She didn't have anything against smokers before she started, but the second hand smoke she could do without. Well, now she had first hand smoke. The blonde blew out the smoke in a puff, watching it. She always wondered how people made rings out of the smoke. She could never do it.
Thoughts of her brother ran through her mind. She had just seen him this morning, hadn't she? Yes. She had. At the Hufflepuff table. Oh, why wasn't he sorted into Ravenclaw? Iva had never been happy that they were both in different houses. She mentioned it a couple of times, but it never truly bothered her. Until last year. The blonde glanced at the lake, wondering how deep it went. How did her father's school even get here for the Triwizard's Tournament? By a ship, she knew. The lake must be very very deep.
Iva thought she heard someone speak. She turned her head and saw one of the younger years. “Hi.” She said, not very interestedly. “Wouldn't come near me, if I were you.” She turned back. “Second hand smoke. Can't be responsible for aiding in your early death.” Ivanka told her. “Unless of course, you've brought some alcohol. In which case, you're welcome to join me.” The blonde said. She used to care for the younger years. Welcomed them into the Ravenclaw house. Helped them out. But that was in the past.
