Arianna wandered through the castle, making her way up the moving stair cases. Her long brunette hair was pulled back into a tight, yet sleek ponytail, and her Slytherin robes were in pristine condition. Where as most students had already changed out of their uniforms from class, Arianna tended to keep hers on, if only for a bit longer. Her cloak fell just above the floor, perfect in length, even though she had clearly grown over the summer holidays. It was true that the Nott family had way too much money for it's own good. This often showed in their clothing. Arianna's was always well tailored, form fitting, and perfectly... well, perfect. And that was exactly how Arianna liked it. As she walked, unhurriedly, her head was raised just ever so enough that she came off with an air of snootiness.
But such was the way of Arianna Nott.Today, she was heading up to the Owlry, to send a letter home to her mother. School was going decently, as normal, and she had somehow managed to slip out of the Slytherin common room without being seen by her brother, which meant that, for the moment, she was alone. She relished the long walk up from the dungeons, seeing few students heading in the same direction. This made Arianna smile. Perhaps she'd even have the Owlry all to herself. As Arianna began to ascend the stair case outside, she pulled her cloak tighter around her body, relishing it's warmth. The cold air bit at her nose relentlessly, and Arianna shuddered as she entered the cold santuary of the Owlry. For once, it was actually empty. Arianna made her way over to one of the windows facing the fading daylight, and and brown great horned owl greeted her. It was the family owl, affectionately names Bubo, after it's species' latin name. She stroked the great owl's head softly, then whisphered "Nott Manor," as she handed over the small envelope to the bird. Arianna's pleasant script showed "Mrs. Daphne Nott" as the intended recipiant. She watched out the window as the owl flew off into the dying light. If only she could just fly off into the silence...
