Style: She loves to wear dresses. Hayley is the type of girl who pretty much only wears pants if she absolutely has to, which is normally just for Quidditch. Mostly though, this girl sticks to the light colors, pastel greens and purples. Light blue, peach and while. She'll wear the darker colors simply for an accent here or there and a bright color when she wears a white dress or something.
Distinguishing Marks: She has her ears pierced, and she has scars along her sides from well... cutting.

Personality:
Hayley was a free willed girl at one point. She used to not have a care in the world and would often find herself playing out by a lake, but things change and people change. Hayley finds that she needs to be spoken to first before she'll be involved in a conversation. She hates becoming close to people, just because she doesn't like the idea that they can be taken away just as quickly as they can jump into your life. She's also fallen victim to well, drugs. They just seem to help her through the rough patches in life. She's not too secretive about this, but she doesn't go bragging about it to the world.
Hayley really only talks about her stupidity to her brother, she trusts him with her life and she has told him about her little issue, but there's not much he can do about it. She's shut out a lot of people too, which may be why she doesn't have a lot of friends. She's emotional at times and almost emotionally unstable. No, she doesn't have anger issues, but she'll cry out of nowhere sometimes and she really doesn't know why, but she does. More or less, what she does, just hides her pain inside, and she does want to be happy again, she just wants to feel whole and okay again, but that doesn’t explain why she shuts everyone out…

General History:
Hayley was born to Richard and Miranda bates three years after her brother Jamie was born. She was a very curious baby and she was adorable. She had her mother's green eyes and that was how people recognized her and knew who her mother was. Hay was heartbroken when Jamie got his letter to go to Hogwarts when he was eleven and she was still eight. She didn't want her big brother to go away and leave her alone for a year, she cried the night before he left.
Soon enough though, she received her letter and before she knew it, she was off to Hogwarts and loving every moment of it. She even managed to become a fair flyer her first year thanks to flying lessons. Her parents thought that because no one else in her family liked flying, that Hayley wouldn't either, but turns out they were wrong. By the time she was in her fourth year, she'd become Keeper for Ravenclaw and was one of the best they'd seen yet.
As she transitioned from being a cute teenager into a beautiful young woman, tragedy struck her family. Now, her mother was muggle born which was why both her parents had learned to drive, seeing how they lived in a muggle town. Hayley was sixteen and her brother was nineteen when they both received a letter, explaining to them that their parents had been killed in a car accident. It had also said that their deaths were quick and relativity painless. Hayley missed a month of school to be with her brother but was able to catch up.
She was a wreck after that, nothing could make her smile. Ever. She just tried to live her life the best she could, despite the pain in her chest. She felt like someone punched a hole through her heart and that the hole wouldn't heal for a long time. When the pain gets unbearable, yes she does the stupid thing and turns to those perfect little pills to make her feel less in pain and more numb. She does cut, but she only does that when even the drugs don't help.
Now, seventeen and getting ready for her last year, she's still cutting and she's still popping pills, but she's kept them a secret from everyone, including Jamie.
