Aless is a determined individual and quite pragmatic. She likes to think she can understand a situation pretty quickly and do what she needs to bring about a result she desires. She has developed a vivacious and generous side to her. She can be seen smiling often, be it a grin or a faint curling up of her lips. Aless can be a generous person, but her generosity comes at a price. She will be more than willing to help, but only if she thinks you can help her with something in the future. People in places of authority are amongst her favourite people. Of course, she doesn't make it that obvious.
For all her friendliness, Aless is a detached person. She doesn't really open up to anyone emotionally, preferring not to share her innermost thoughts with most people. She'd change the topic or give a vague answer. Aless is a materialistic and self indulgent lady. She likes her shoes, bags and clothes. She likes beautiful things, is an impulse buyer and believes in retail therapy.
Alessandra is very self-assured. She might have a few rare moments of insecurity but for the most part, Aless is a confidant woman. She doesn't think she needs a man by her side to be happy and is pretty content to use them as and when she likes. Aless is a well mannered lady. Her mother, despite all her wild ways, attended all sorts of lessons and she passed them onto her daughter.

General History: Evelina Insana was just eighteen when she discovered she was pregnant with her first child. To make matters worse, she had no idea who the father was. But she did know it was not someone who she could bring home to her parents. While they turned a blind eye to their only child’s indiscretions, she knew that this would be the last straw for them. Evelina turned to a cousin, once or twice or thrice removed (she couldn’t keep count), and made a deal with him. If he would ask for her hand in marriage, she would provide him with all the money he could want to do whatever it was he was doing. She didn’t think of getting rid of the child, no matter how inconvenient it was to her.
That was how Silvestro and Evelina became married. While Silvestro wasn’t from a particularly rich branch of the Insana family, he was respected enough for Evelina's parents to allow their only daughter to marry him. That, and they had given up all hope of securing a potential husband for their only girl. But of course, that didn’t need to be made known. The Insana family was not unlike the Black family in England, marrying among their own to continue on the purity of their bloodline.
Silvestro Insana was what Muggles would call a Property Developer. He sought out places for wizards and witches among Muggles. He had a plan to create an entire village or town or city just for the Wizarding World. He proposed a plan in Italy where he was shot down. Believing it was because of the notoriety of the Insanas, he relocated his entire family to London. He made some headway in London but it wasn’t before long that insanity struck. Evelina, who had grown fond of Silvestro, did her best to look after the man but it proved too much together with looking after three young children. She put him into Saint Mungo’s and continued to raise her children.
Her eldest daughter never knew that Silvestro was not her real father. Her only son was a hyperactive ball of energy. Her youngest daughter was just adorable. Alessandra Insana was someone who had gotten everything she wanted. She was particularly close to her father growing up and didn't take too well to him being admitted to Saint Mungo's when she was just nine. She pestered her mother to visit him every weekend, but in time, her father's illness took him away when she was twelve.
That was a year after she had started at Hogwarts. Hogwarts was a place that Alessandra loved. She was sorted into Slytherin where she excelled in. Aless was a bright child. She worked and studied hard, getting the results that she wanted. Her mother didn't need to tell her to get good grades. Aless knew she wanted it. She knew it would get her into places. Of course, she also knew that being sociable was important as well. She made friends, attended parties, listened when her friends had their hearts broken. In her fifth year, Alessandra became a Prefect. In her final year, she was Head Girl.
Aless had her fair share of boys during her teenage years. But she never took them seriously. In her mind, they were boys. She strung them along, had her fun with them and let them go when she was bored. Aless never wanted a relationship. She never had a serious one until she was twenty. The man was fifteen years older than her. He was also a prominent figure in the Ministry of Magic, where she was working at that time. That lasted four years, with various breaks in between. Alessandra, who had never had a serious relationship, got freaked out when the man proposed and ran.
Alessandra ran to Hogwarts, where an opening had opened up for the Charms position. She got an interview with the Headmaster, got the job and has been there teaching ever since.
