Personality:Silchas may seem shy when you first meet him, but once you befriend him he won't stop talking. He loves getting to know and befriending others if they are willing to befriend him. However, if someone manages to get on Silchas's bad side, he can be a vindictive and cruel enemy.
Silchas is also a neat freak. He likes his sleeping area and parts of his attire exactly where he wishes them to be and can get extremely irritated if people disturb his things. He is also extremely flamboyant, finding interest in fashion and theater and other things many guys find no interest in. As a child, he was often bullied(mostly by his father) for having such sentiments but he has decided he doesn't care what other people think, but he will still get defensive when people mention it, even jokingly.
Silchas was extremely surprised when he was sorted into Slytherin, but has since realized that the Sorting Hat made an extremely wise decision. While he is very intelligent, good grades are more of a means to an end for him, a way of achieving what he wants. Although he enjoys becoming true friends with a person, he will often make friends simply for his own gain and is very good about hiding whether or not his friendship is true(he is a very good actor) Although a good duellist, he prefers using guile and intelligence rather than martial might to achieve his goals.

General History: The ancient but often unheard of Ruin family has lived in the same castle for countless generations. Secreted away in the mountains, the castle is virtually impregnable to magic and Muggles alike, and most Ruins prefer it that way. A family of warriors tracing their lineage to medieval times, the Ruin family prides itself on producing robust and hardy warriors. As expected, the Ruin family does not get out much and is virtually ignorant of the outside world.
Silchas was born within the confines of Wyvernfell Castle, the Ruin family abode, and was the only son ever born to his family. Silchas was often expected to live up to the family name, but often disappointed his father with his sensitivity and apparent femininity, even from birth. After a decade of abuse for not being 'manly' enough to inherit the castle, Pellinore Ruin turned to Silchas's much more promising older sister, Isobel, for the interests of the family. Practically abandoned by a disinterested father, Silchas's mother suggested he go to live with her Squib sister and Muggle husband in London to make more of a life for himself. Silchas came to love both the Muggle and Wizarding world(as his aunt still kept on top of much of the Wizarding goings on. Despite being a Squib, she still came from a Wizarding family) and at the age of 11, was sent off to Hogwarts. Silchas barely ever visits his old family home, considering his aunt and uncle to be more of his parents than his real parents ever were.
