Zachariah passed a discreet small black bag to a fellow student, not giving him a second glance once the bag left his hand. His pockets were heavy with the money that he had just gotten and Zac smiled faintly to himself. Another successful sale from a new customer. New ones were always the most jumpy ones, in his opinion. He leaned against a pillar, seated on a bench and watched the people go by. There were a ton of things that he needed to do, school wise. But Zac was perfectly content to stay seated here and not go them. He offered free stuff to those who did his homework and made sure he passed them. Because what was the point in giving them free stuff and having gibberish as his homework?
The male started whistling a tune he'd heard in the hallways a while back. One more year and he would be out of Hogwarts. Zac was of two minds with that. Sure, on the outside, he couldn't wait to get out of Hogwarts. What did it hold for him? He wanted to leave it, to travel the world. To go to places and breathe in the beauty of isolated places that he'd only heard of in books. Then again, he'd made friends here. True friends, he thought, not those who came and went. Then again, he really didn't need anyone besides his brother. And Dylan, he supposed. If things went smoothly, Dylan might be part of the family soon enough. She was the only girl who seemed to get through to Mal, after all.
Perhaps he needed to get himself a girl. Zac thought of the last one night stand he had and decided that he was better off not having any form of relationship. There was a group of students having a picnic some distance away from him. Zac's stomach grumbled, a sign for him to steal the food they had. Taking his wand out, Zac caused a small fire on the tree above them. While they were busy running away, he summoned the plate of sandwiches and muffins. They landed beside him and the male smiled. Without further ado, he started on the stolen sandwiches.

Iggy had spent the vast majority of his morning finishing up his arithmancy homework. It didn't take him long, or at least not as long as it normally did. He normally had to give himself at least an hour and a half apiece for each homework, when it really should have only taken about forty five to an hour. But with his ADD he got distracted quite easy, and had to redo a lot of things. But today, he didn't have as much trouble. Maybe it was the fact that it was getting colder, but it wasn't so bad outside, and he wanted to be out there.
Madigan had taken three small balls out with him when he left the common room. He always did. Because as much fun as it was to know he was a wizard and could do real magic, he'd learn how to do a lot of muggle tricks when he was so young, he just couldn't give it up. He loved to juggle, and to just do fun things. When he got outside he stood there, juggling, as some first years walked by and tried not to get distracted. He smiled, showing off some tricks he'd learn, that weren't just standard when it came to juggling.
Iggy started walking again, but when he heard some screams coming from not too far away, he dropped what he was doing, and scrambled to pick back up the small balls, and started to run. The trees above a picnic were on fire, and people were running away. But then they stopped, and all that was left was their food, which went soaring the air, and stopped at Zachariah Montague. Iggy shook his head. He didn't understand Zach Montague. He started walking towards him, and when he got closer he started to juggle again. "You know, if you were hungry, the house elves would have made you something," he said, not looking at Zach, but seeming quite focused on what he was doing, which was a very complex form of juggling.

“Ah, but you see, Boehlke, that would require me to go down to the kitchens. Then I would have to pick the right fruit to tickle and then tell the house elves what I want. Why do all that when I could just cause a distraction and take whatever food that is in front of me?” Zac asked the Ravenclaw. They were in the same year, but Zac wouldn’t say they were friends. Ravenclaws were a smart bunch and he knew several people in that house who’d do his homework for him in exchange for something to get them high. The boy standing in front of him wasn’t one of them.
Zachariah tilted his head as he looked at what the Ravenclaw was doing. Juggling. Zac couldn’t do that. Well, he supposed he could do it with three balls, but whatever the heck Boehlke was doing he couldn’t. He wanted to ask if the lad was intending to join the circus after Hogwarts and be a clown. But no, that might be a little too rude. Instead, Zac asked him something else. “So you seem pretty good at juggling. Did you pick it up on your own?” If he did, well, good for him. “I imagine it helps in getting the ladies.” He added, chomping down on another sandwich.
“Here, want some?” Zachariah asked, holding out the plate to him. Of course, he’d have to stop juggling to eat them. Unless he juggled them and then caught them in his mouth. Which Zac could see happening. Perhaps he should have eaten up all the sandwiches and not offered any to Boehlke. Too late now. Then again, the sandwiches were stolen. He might not want any part of stolen sandwiches.

Madigan only listened halfway to what Zac was saying. Not because he didn't want to, which he really didn't that much, but because his mind was already moved on from the conversation. He tried to bring his focus back to the Slytherin boy he was not friends with. The two were not into the same things. "I feel like causing a scene like that is a lot harder. What if you'd cast the fiendfyre spell instead?" he asked, not truly paying attention. He just knew that one was deadly, and practically unstoppable.
At this point, Iggy had moved on from his usuals to a harder one, called mills mess, which was practically the hardest move there was, and took him forever to master. He'd really only succeeded over the summer. He knew Zachariah was looking at him funny. Everyone else did. "Well generally. I had some help along the way, street fairs back home," he said, still not actually looking at the Slytherin. He ignored the comment about the ladies. He didn't care what girls thought about him, except his best friend, Angelina.
Iggy stopped with the juggling. He'd caught all the balls, quite gracefully. He looked at Zac. He shook his head. If he was hungry he'd wait until dinner, not stealing them from innocent kids at a picnic. But he didn't say that to Zac. He was pretty sure Montague could beat him up, and he spent a vast majority of his Hogwarts career avoiding getting beat up. "No thanks, Montague. I just ate." He wanted to leave, go find Hugo or Keaton or Angie, but he thought it would be rude. But he and Zac just didn't talk very much, and he was trying to keep focus on an actual conversation. "So besides stealing food, do you have any hobbies?" he knew it was lame, but hey, he was trying.

“Because I'm smarter than that. And also, I have no idea what the spell is to stop the cursed fire. So I stuck with normal fire.” No one was hurt either. Zac knew better than to hurt someone. He didn't want to visit the Headmaster's office or have a letter sent to his parents. Besides, Zac wanted to keep a low key presence. Not too low key. People needed to know his name, but for good reasons.
Zachariah didn't think juggling was a hobby people had. Well, few people picked up juggling. Unless it was for an assignment. At least, he thought that was so. Boehlke took it up because he wanted to, apparently. Right now, his arms were criss crossing and Iggy thought he might drop some balls. But he didn't. Zac would say it was luck, but it seemed Boehlke had been doing this for a while now.
His offer of sandwiches was refused, just as Zac thought it would be. People generally didn't want things that they knew were stolen or taken from someone by force. “More for me then.” He said, smiling at the Ravenclaw. Biting into another one, Zachariah considered Boehlke's question. “Well, stealing food isn't exactly considered a hobby, really.” Zac pointed out.
“If stealing was a hobby.... let's just say hypothetically, I would be very good at it.” The male told him. Zac had some hobbies that he excelled at but he didn't think Boehlke needed to know. “Building birdhouses.” Zac said, rather honestly. Now that was a stranger hobby than juggling. But the Ravenclaw could take it as he was pulling his leg. “And cooking. Now, that gets the ladies. Mention you can cook and they'd swoon.”

Iggy considered Zac for a minute. In the six years they'd been classmates and known each other, they had never bothered to chat. And Iggy could see why. "I don't believe there is a spell to put it out. That's why it's so dangerous," he said. Now Iggy didn't know every spell in the world, but he knew a good amount. Maybe he'd remember to look up the fiendfyre curse later. He doubted it, but it could happen. "And then where would we be? In a huge fire, our school destroyed, classes unable to continue. Stuck in the muggle world, not being able to use magic because we're only sixteen. We'd have to transfer, Hogwarts would cease to exist!" In all actuality, he was just being a goof. He didn't believe any of that.
Iggy stopped doing his juggling tricks. He was probably just looking like a showoff to the boy, or a weirdo. And in truth, Madigan probably was showing off a bit, and he really was a weirdo. He pulled out his wand and muttered "reducto" on the already small balls to shrink them more, and put them in his pocket. It was much better than having an awkward bulge in his pockets. Very awkward. Iggy watched the Slytherin boy eating his stolen food, and decided he'd at least sit down and continue the first conversation the two had ever had. "No, I guess it wouldn't be a hobby. Hobbies are things like collecting stamps, dancing, drawing, reading, gardening, scrapbooking, juggling, sewing... Sorry," he said gazing off around the grounds. The leaves were changing colours and the outside world was getting beautiful.
"If stealing was a hobby... I don't think I would be. I do suppose I could pickpocket alright. Pickpocketing is actually quite easy, but I'd feel too guilty. Stealing peoples money out of their pockets? Oh dear, they worked hard for that money!" the messy haired Ravenclaw said. His eyes got all wide. Oh he certainly could chat. This was much more progress than they had been making only a few minutes ago, or at least for Madigan it was. Birdhouses? He wouldn't have pegged Zachariah for the type to go for building birdhouses. Maybe to keep his stashes in. Yes, Iggy knew that Zac sold drugs, but he stayed away from that scene. "Cooking huh? Girls really like that?" he thought about Angelina. Would she like that?
