Style: Erasmus professes a love of button-down shirts and ripped jeans, blazers, boots, and high-tops, slacks with T-shirts and ties, anything that fits and he deems 'snazzy', really. Doesn't wear anything but long sleeves. Though, he's got a habit of collecting hoodies, albeit he issues a refusal to wear them in public, finding that they lack a certain 'finesse'. However, around the commonroom he's nearly never found in anything else. It may be noted that he has a peculiar fondness for stripes.
He makes attempts toward taming his short, black hair, but it tends to end up doing what it wants- sometimes it ends up nicely, others, a mess. Quite usually, it's the latter, though he makes a serious effort to pretend it's the 'practiced bedhead' look. To finish off the general air of 'I don't give a particular damn about my appearance' that surrounds Razz is the slight stubble that seems to find itself on his chin most days. He actually goes for the clean-shaven look, but can't be bothered to shave on a regular basis.
Distinguishing Marks: His eyes are a strange, in-between violet-grey colour, and he may have a piercing or two; though he'd never tell you where.
PERSONALITY
Likes: Overcast Days, Striped Things, Cats, Quidditch, &poking dead things with a stickthe Smell of Fresh Parchment.
Dislikes: Muggles, The Colour Yellow, Onions, Stupid People, &Odd Numbers.
Boggart: A Selkie; had a dreadful run-in with one as an adolescent. Hasn't been swimming since.
Patronus: A rather over-sized crow.
Strengths: Headstrong; Razz can do anything [and WILL do anything] that he particularly decides he is going to do, no matter the cost. This can be a grand thing if he happens to be doing this to an end that satisfies your needs- but quite problematic if it's aiming at your downfall.
Academically; Razz is better at hands-on classes, such as charms, transfiguration, flying, and the like. He has alot of natural talent that he can definitely use to his advantage, and he therefore excels in these areas.
Weaknesses: Covert; he has few loyalties, but has a habit of leading people to believe they have earned this privilege before turning on them. No one really seems to be able to figure out what he's really up to, thinking, or feeling- and it's rather a habit more than a conscious effort. Has trouble retaining friends.
Academically; Erasmus has trouble with classes that require a textbook, due to his seeming inability to pick one up. Potions, Herbology, History, etc- He usually does his best to find a smart study-partner and see how much of his work he can get them to do. You'd be surprised how far he gets, sometimes.
Personality: Erasmus can be seen as a somewhat complicated being. He has a habit toward a changing personality, a certain volatility that ebbs or swells depending on who he's spending his time with. When asked to consider the matter, he had only to say 'I may very well have feelings and thoughts, but I don't really have a personality when I'm alone.' He considers himself a mirror of a being; He hates being alone for this reason. What exists in a mirror when there's nothing to reflect? Nothing at all.
Mostly, the aforementioned volatility tags him as an untrustworthy type of person. In this, he can find only changeable, less-than-admirable company the majority of his time- and only loose relationships with those of a greater sort. Razz lives to amuse himself, always looking for the next best thing to occupy his time, whether or not it hurts someone else being a matter of lesser importance than his own enjoyment.
Speaking of being fickle and existing only to further his own motives and enjoyment, Erasmus would also define himself as an 'Equal Opportunity Pervert', preying on both men and women; He's quite good at it, really, though he does prefer female to male. You have to be really special to catch his eye if you're a boy. But in the end, he uses them both just the same- no one seems to be permanent.
Erasmus is always up for a bit of fun, known for making mischief and knowing how to have a good time. Therefore, despite his shifty nature, he's never really in need of company; Though, of course, company and friends do not necessarily equate.
BIOGRAPHY
Father: Leander Orion Forsyth
Mother: Theodosia Alyse [Cromwell] Forsyth.
Siblings: One sister, Emilia Theresa; Deceased. [Remember that nasty run-in with the Selkie? Yeah, that.]
Pets: One cat; Freyja.
General History: Erasmus was born in Glasgow, Scotland, shortly before his family made a move to his father's native Inverness. His parents were known followers of the Dark Lord, always under close watch and not particularly prone for sudden moving about due to exactly this; shiftiness made them seem suspicious, and they were done with all that. They ended up instilling a 'trust no-one' attitude in both of their children, which influences Erasmus to this day, and is most likely to blame for his semi-friendless situation.
It would most likely still have a large effect on Emilia, but at age thirteen, the girl was drowned by a Selkie in the loch by Erasmus' house; only eleven at the time, he was devastated by his inability to do anything about this. Shortly thereafter, his letter came, and the boy was shipped off to Hogwarts. This was quite a strain for his mother so fresh after losing one child, and she insisted that he be home for every single holiday, and write weekly- this still continues today. [Though heaven help the person who calls him a mama's boy; Razz is quite the accomplished brawler.]
