Ivanka Krum sat underneath a tree, frowning at her timetable. Her last year at Hogwarts wasn't going to be much fun if she had to attend lessons every single day. The fact wasn't having to attend lessons every day. The difficult thing was having to pay attention. It had been so easy not to care about what the Professors taught last year. If she knew it was that easy, she'd done it sooner and copied her homework from the students who actually paid attention in class. Of course, that wasn't her. No, correction. That had been her before she was fifteen. Now Iva was seventeen and found that she really couldn't give a damn about what her future held. Deep down she did care. She had been full of dreams and ideas just a mere two years ago.
The blonde sighed, wishing she could crumple up that piece of paper and burn it up. Or throw it into the lake. But she'd made a promise to herself to pay attention to class. To attend her lessons and actually do her homework. Oh well, at least she didn't have to be early or on time to class, right? Ivanka found that loophole in the promise she made to herself and smiled. It was a silly thing to smile about. She stuffed her timetable back into her bag, before taking out her pack of cigarettes. Trying to quit the habit she'd picked up last year was tough. “One thing at a time, chéri.” She said to herself, lighting up the cigarette and placing it between her lips.
She stretched out her legs, looking at the pair of boots beside her. Her father had gotten her those last year. Well, he said he had in that letter he sent her. But those were the latest fashion items and Iva highly doubted it was him who bought them. More like his current girlfriend. But, a gift was a gift. Besides, Ivanka had a weakness for boots. The blonde looked around her, wondering if anyone was going to object to her stripping off and taking a dive into the lake. There certainly was no rule against doing it. Iva took off her jacket and placed it beside her boots. It would be a waste not to finish this cigarette first though.

Silchas Ruin sat in the library, bored and insensate. He despised Arithmancy, but he needed to finish the studying if he wished to keep his grade. He had a headache and the gosh-awful heat wasn't helping much. Readjusting his oppressing tie for the 18th time, Silchas stood up, closed his books and walked out. First he stopped by the Slytherin common room to drop his items, then set out for the lake. Maybe a cool dip in the lake would banish the headache.
He reached the lake to find a seventh year Ravenclaw beginning to prepare for her own dip. 'Damn' he thought. He didn't have swimming trunks, and swimming in his knickers was awkward. 'Oh, what the hell', he thought. Then, he noticed the girl's boots. "I adore your boots." he remarked to the girl finishing her cigarette, as he loosened his tie. "Mind if I join you? It's much to warm out here."

Iva wondered if they were supposed to go visit their father over Christmas. Christmas in Bulgaria was quite a dreary affair compared to what the Weasleys and Potters had. She'd much rather be in England or France. France sounded better. She wouldn't have to reply too many questions from the Weasleys. She wasn't truly related to them by blood. It just so happened her aunt Fleur married a Weasley.
I adore your boots. Ivanka would have expected that statement to come from a girl. But instead she looked up and saw a boy. She let out a laugh, before speaking. “Why, thank you.” She looked up at him. If she wasn't wrong, he was in Slytherin and a year or so younger than her. When he asked to join her, Ivanka laughed again. “For saying my boots are awesome, you get to join me.” Iva told him, letting out a puff of smoke from her lips.
“Are you intending to go into the lake and freeze your ass off?” Ivanka asked, tilting her head and looking at him. “I was intending to do that. You should do it first and test out the temperature of the water.” She winked at him. Okay, so she might be using him for that. Perhaps the bloke didn't even want to go into the lake but wanted to come here for a nice relaxing view of the lake.

Are you intending to go in the lake and freeze your ass off? Silchas thought about that. The temperature didn't look too bad. 'Actually' he thought 'After having your dad throw you into a river of icemelt at five years old, nothing looks or feels too bad'. He then narrowed his eyes at the Ravenclaw. He wasn't a fool. He could tell she just wanted to know whether the water was fine. However, he knew that he could easily take whatever this easy lowland weather could throw at him.
Feeling a bit uncomfortable, Silchas stripped off his robes down to his knickers. The discomfort was a throwback to how he was never hairy, to his father's ire. But since coming of age a bit more, he learned many people didn't mind that. In fact, some people had remarked that he was attractive. Muggle girls in London had often fawned over him, so he never hesitated using them to get into the nicer clubs(even though he was faaar underage). Silchas took a little jog, and leaped into the lake. It was biting ass cold, but he'd had worse. Spitting out water and flipping his blonde hair out of his eyes, he grinned at her and said, "The water is fabulous!"

Ivanka smiled sweetly at him when he narrowed his eyes at her. Well, he wasn't one of those silly students. She then watched him take off his clothes and jumped into the lake. He was a cute little thing, even if he didn't have the body of a body builder. Iva laughed softly when he yelled out at him that the water was fabulous. “If you think I believe you, you're very much mistaken.” Ivanka told him, shaking her head. The water had to be freezing. Nothing a spell couldn't fix, but if that was the case, she might as well just sneak into the Prefects' Bathroom and not be out here.
She took one last puff of her cigarette, before stubbing it out on the grass. Removing her own clothes, the blonde slowly walked over to the edge of the lake and tipped a foot in. “How exactly is this temperature of water fabulous?” She asked him, before submerging herself in the lake. Ivanka had heard there were many types of water creatures living in the lake. She doubted there was any near the bank. She reemerged from underneath the water surface and posed a question to the Slytherin. “Have you ever gone to the bottom of the lake?” Her father had, of course. Ivanka loved hearing stories of the Triwizard Tournament.
