Personality: Bert is a happy-go-lucky person, who tries to find the best in any situation. He’s nearly always hyper and isn’t one to shy away from meeting new people. Bert loves making people laugh, as it makes him feel happy, he can normally make people laugh by telling then a stupid cheesy joke. Bert is always up for an adventure and loves the thrill of nearly getting caught. Bert rarely gets annoyed with people, mostly because he is the one annoying them!
Bert isn’t a popular person but nor is he a social recluse. He loves his friends, who are more of a family to him. He’s someone you can always depend on and isn’t one to lie to you. Bert loves school, and though he’s not top of his class or year, he isn’t dumb either.

General History: Bert is the only boy out of his three sibling’s so his father Fyodor, wanted Bert to be a proper boy, and watch the football with him and things like that. Bert didn’t like football, and isn’t very sporty, so his father would lash out at him and get angry at the whole family. His sister’s thought that it was his fault that their father always got so angry and they started to ignore him and resent him. Even Bert’s mother started to ignore him in case of angering his father even more.
Bert’s father wasn’t happy with his eldest daughter being a witch, so when Bert got his letter. Fyodor couldn’t even bear to look at his son. Bert found this slightly unfair because even though his father didn’t like the idea of witches and wizards he accepted his daughter’s just fine. Bert was over the moon when he wasn’t sorted into the same house as his older sister, and even happier when he found out that his two younger sisters weren’t sorted into the same house as him. Bert made friends with people quite easily in his first year and treated them more like family as he felt more close to them, than he did his family! Bert has always felt at home at Hogwarts and is a lot happier there, he likes to make people happy and see them smiling because he doesn’t want Hogwarts to become like his home with a very unhappy atmosphere. This year Bert is looking forward to seeing his friends again, and to see the back of his sister older as she leaving this year!
