There were a number of things that Lorcan Scamander probably should have been doing at the time, in fact he was 95% sure that there was some sort of essay or homework that he had yet to do that he should have done by now. But what was this particular brunette doing at the time? Absolutely nothing, and that was something that he truly enjoyed, something which he was not about to change. Nope, not unless someone came around and gave him a reason to stop doing nothing and do something else. Sure, Lorcan had been doing some photography, and wandering around the grounds and that much should be obvious because the bulky camera lay a few inches away from where he lay. So he could at least claim that for part of the day he'd gone and done something at least amusing on his part, besides wasn't he entitled to some time where he didn't have to really think about anything?
"Ahhh..." A sigh of relief escaped his lips and he moved his arms from his sides to support the weight of his head as he looked up to those blue skies and couldn't help but think that it might be fun to go for some sort of flight. And hell, if it wasn't for the fact that the thought of jumping into the lake scared the shit out of him, he probably would have considered going into the water. Or at least sticking his feet in like a normal person might do, but when it came to those select fears of his, he wasn't the easiest person to be around when those fears actually kicked in. But right then and there wasn't the time to be focusing on something like that, besides if his hearing hadn't gone completely he could swear he heard someone coming towards him.
The queston going through his mind then was whether or not he actually wanted to make the effort of greeting the person. If he would roll over and see who it was, or if he would simply wait and see who this person was, if they wanted to talk to him then he was pretty sure that they would greet him all on their own. But then Lorcan sat himself up a bit, resting on his elbows and grinned up at the person that had appeared. "Well hello there," he said with a nod before plopping himself back down on the ground.

Ivanka stubbed out her cigarette with her boot, before she considered how she could have just burned it with a spell. When that thought crossed her mind, she did exactly that. Of course, she made sure not to start a bloody fire. Merlin knew the Prefects had better things to do than catch her littering and setting a fire. Or did they? The Ravenclaw popped a mint into her mouth as she made her way to the lake, wondering just why she needed to be inside the castle cooped up in a classroom when she could be out here smokeing. Ivanka would probably die younger, considering how many cigarettes she smoked daily. She didn't smoke an entire pack daily, but depending on the stress level, Ivanka thought she could do so. She didn't have anything against smokers before she started, but the second hand smoke she could do without. Well, now she had first hand smoke.
The blonde chewed on her mint as she glanced about disinterestedly at the people about the grounds. Ivanka had attended a class today. The Professor taught her something she already knew and by the end of it, she was ready to skip the rest of her lessons for the day. Although, she did have a Muggle Studies class today. That particular Professor was handsome enough for her to attend just so she could stare at him. Right now, Ivanka would settle for a stroll down to the lake to do nothing at all.
Her favourite spot by the lake was taken up. Well, one of her favourite spots. She marched up to the person that was near it, recognising who it was as she neared him. He grinned at her as a way of greeting, before he actually spoke. She was lugging around a bag filled with a couple of books and she dumped it beside him. If she was mean, she might have threw the book on top of the camera that was on the other side and ruined it entirely. “You're in my spot, Lorcan.” Ivanka pouted, before seating herself next to him. “Are you sunbathing? If so, you're doing it wrong because you have too much clothes on.” The blonde informed him, before popping another mint into her mouth.

He couldn't help but laugh at the comment and looked to the blonde once more, ah yes this beauty was someone who Lorcan had spent plenty of time with over his time at Hogwarts. "You just know me oh-so-well, don't you Ivanka? But I kinda figured I'd try the whole sunbathing with one's clothes on the whole time. See how cool that sort of tan line would come out." Of course he was joking, that sort of childish grin coming to his features before he watched as the blonde took her spot next to him. "I was unaware that there was some sort of claiming that happened with this area." It didn't really surprise him that there were people who liked one particular spot, he knew there were a couple that he liked to think was his own. But really, right then and there it was more like he was simply poking a bit of fun at Ivanka. Moving the large camera closer to himself and now onto the other side of him that was not taken up by Ivanka he brought his attention back to the blonde.
Looking her over for a moment before he then looked back out towards the water of the Lake. One day he would force himself to actually jump into those waters, without any sort of fear, but for today he would simply keep himself busy with the new person with him. "So what brings you around these parts blondie?" Letting himself lay back to look at the lightly cloud covered sky for the time and half closed his eyes as he listened to her place, what he supposed by the light scent, was a mint into her mouth. "Come to seek my, beautiful sunbathing, self out?" Lorcan joked once more, again coming to turn himself so he at least partially faced the other. Lorcan was rarely this much of a weirdo with others, often keeping more so to himself or keeping himself in a much quieter manner.
She was just part of the select few that actually got the chattier or more of a loose Lorcan, whether it be in the simple conversation or in the bedside manner. Either way, Lorcan always found himself comfortable around the blonde, something that put a sense of ease over himself. Odd? Yes, but it was at least nice to know that he was able to feel that way, normal even, when it came to other human beings. Now if only he could feel this way around a larger group of people and he might further his process of being on the road to normaldom.

“Of course I do.” Ivanka replied, in a matter of fact tone. “It would be much better if you just took off all your clothes. No tan lines. And I get to look at your lovely body. Win win situation, yes?” Iva asked, smiling at Lorcan. It was unfortunate that the situation would probably never happen. At least not in Hogwarts. While Ivanka was looking forward to leaving Hogwarts, she also knew that the real world was a disaster waiting to happen. What in the world was she supposed to do out there? She sucked at Quidditch, her studies used to be good, but now she was just average. Which was part of the reason why she was trying to attend her lessons this year. These were serious thoughts and Ivanka would rather not think about them right now. “Oh, there is.” Iva told him. “You'd have to pay a fine. A kiss would do just fine. Or several.” The blonde grinned mischievously at him.
She saw him glance towards the lake, before asking her another question. She shrugged, before speaking. “Nothing in particular.” Ivanka smiled when he turned to face her. Lorcan was a rather good looking boy. That thought never failed to make it into her head when she saw him. Or his twin. “You're just a very nice surprise.” The blonde replied. “Or I could just say you were waiting for me here. With a camera, no less. Taking pictures of girls, are we?” She asked, taking a strand of hair and twirling it around her finger. Lorcan was never one of the more social people in Hogwarts. Ivanka had other friends to chatter with if she wanted to. Lorcan... it was just pleasant being around him. Ivanka laid next to Lorcan, crossing her ankles. “So... life after Hogwarts. What will I be watching you do?”

"Ahhhh, well I would hardly want to expose myself to you or anyone else in such a happening place, it would be too much of a show." He joked shaking his head. "But hey, if you're taking off your clothes, or top, or whatever I'll take mine off, now thats what I call a real win-win situation." Grinning widely he ran a hand through his hair and looked to the camera as she brought it up, and shook his head. Although he wasn't exactly the sort of person who minded when people watched him, as long as he was doing something that provoked said staring. So if that meant he would be removing Lorcan's clothes, he might as well do it in front of someone that he already knew Lorcan cared for. Or at least found himself more often than not pleased and at ease around, which was what Lorcan often thought mattered when it came to friends, and perhaps those who could be considered more than simply friends.
"Ahh? A kiss is it? Well, when it comes to yourself I think kissing is the perfect price for forgiveness," And placed a kiss right onto that mischievous grin of hers and allowed a second to be placed right on her cheek before Lorcan pulled back with that matching mischievous of hers, before he found himself listening to her question. And again his eyes drifted towards the camera, "Mmm I figure theres gotta be some interesting people out here to snap some pictures of. People watching, ya know?" It was something that Lorcan had done quite a bit as a child, seeing as how he had moved from one place to another so often. "Although, I've gotta say this blonde girl who just came wandering up definitely strikes up my muse," Chuckling her shifted the camera into a ready to capture photo sort of position and aimed it towards Ivanka. "With a beauty such as yourself, it shouldn't be a surprise."
And then came the question something that he'd already been asked by his professors within the first few weeks of school and really was something that he didn't have an answer to. Probably because the future wasn't something that Lorcan really thought about, he would much rather live in the moment. Not that he hadn't been told that it was something that he really needed to think about, something that he needed to take seriously as a seventh year Ravenclaw. "Haven't really figured that much out yet, what about yourself?" He questioned placing the camera down once more after the serious question escaped his lips.
