Style: Chaz doesn't really like any fuss. A set of jeans, a plain t shirt and a jacket suits her fine. The occasional dress might come out of the wardrobe but she doesn't really bother too much with what she wears.
Distinguishing Marks: The odd scar here and there from Nathan. She tattoo of a phoenix on her left shoulder blade. Ears pierced.

Likes: Travelling, experimenting with potions, sunsets, the smell of burnt wood, rainy days, hot baths.

Strengths: Chaz is curious and constantly experimenting, whether it gets her in trouble or not. She likes to take an idea and develop it to see if it can become any better.
Weaknesses: She is quite a withdrawn person and finds it hard to make relationships with people that aren't professional.
Personality: Charlize these days is a very quiet person. She likes to keep to herself. She struggles to connect with people unless it is on a professional level but that's not to say she doesn't want to. Occasionally people see the old Charlize shine through, which is likely to appear after a drink or two. She is happy to be herself around people that she knows quite well.
When you know Charlize and she is comfortable around you she is a talkative and opinionated person. She is passionate about potion making and aside from teaching it does her own research. She loves developing and experimenting with it and will happily discuss it with anyone who takes an interest. Her job is important to her and she wants to be the best she can be.
When it comes to temper Chaz has to be pushed pretty badly. Years with Nathan and her parents taught her to have patience. So when someone says something to her she tends to brush it off. That doesn't mean that she's a push over or that she forgets about it. She remembers what people are like and how they treat her. Charlize works on and eye for an eye basis. She'll find a way to get you back.

General History: Charlize was born into a wealthy family. Her mother a witch and her father a muggle. Born in France Chaz grew up with proper manners and anything she wanted. Anything apart from her parents who would often be working. Charlize's childhood revolved around being raised by Nanny's from the wizarding world who would understand the glimpses of magic she showed.
From the age of 6 Charlize began to attend a muggle boarding school due to her father's wishes. It was here that Charlize found herself most unhappy in her childhood. Her belief and talk in magic and things in muggle fairytales existing caused her to be teased and ridiculed. Chaz began to retreat into her shell and kept her stories and beliefs to herself.
At the age of 11 she was accepted into Beauxbatons and instantly she began to feel like she was more at home. Magic was something she loved and had taken a shine to. Charlize was someone who tried hard wanting to make her parents proud of her. However their daughter's schooling was far from their minds. The business her father had set up was struggling and the household became a tense one to live in as she grew older.
Most people go through school only having to worry about their OWLS and NEWTS and the odd relationship and friendship drama. Charlize was worrying over how to help her parents. After graduating the answer came in the form of a marriage proposal from a potential muggle business partners son. By the time she was nineteen Charlize and Nathan were married and her parents business had gotten the bail out they needed.
Charlize and Nathan had a volatile relationship as there was little love between them. Arguments often broke out and although she tried not to rise to it there was the odd occasion when Chaz would fight back. Although she prided herself in never raising a wand on him. At 21 she took a teaching post in Beauxbatons to teach potions and found her love in experimenting and developing there. It also got her away from Nathan for days at a time.
Last month Nathan was sentenced to a muggle prison sentence for manslaughter after a fight with another man in a bar. Charlize took this as the final straw and filed for divorce not willing to carry on with the charade. Her parents would not let up about how disappointed they are in her. It was the Chaz decided that she needed a fresh start. She applied for the potions position in Hogwarts and is looking forward to burying all her past and just starting afresh.
