Personality: The main problem with Cassie is that she is too cautious when letting people see her inner most layer. That's, in her opinion, her "dark" layer. It's where all her final, clean cut thoughts go and sometimes to most of the time, those thoughts are not happy thoughts. They end up in the same place a file of all of her memories of all the times her friends might have hurt her. On a conscious level, she does try to separate them, because she does not believe that everything ties together. To her, it's all just a bunch of random happenstances.
The fact of the matter, is that she actually does adore people. Certainly, there are times where she loves them, like when they pay her compliments that do not have the sound of pity in them. When they do annoy her, she's learned that the best thing for her to do is to walk away, no reasons, no talking, just go. She'll cool down and then she will be able to handle what ever that drama is. Though, like any logical person, she hates dramatic moments. Which is why she hates falling in love, it seems overrated, and the last thing she wants is a boy declaring his love for her.
Other than that, she's a big daddy's girl. Her favourite class is Herbology, and that's simply because Neville teaches it. If anyone knows Cassie well enough, it would be him. He too once was an awkward child that grew into his own, and she's simply following in his footsteps. However, she doubts that she'll become the next Herbology professor anytime soon. She would much prefer to work in a place with people her age, instead of being surrounded by people that are too young for her, or too old for her.

General History:
When you're the youngest child and only daughter of a couple that owns a pub, more specifically The Leaky Cauldron, you are automatically give the title of "The Handful". This is simply because your parents worry about you and that some stranger might be the stranger to whisk you away from the family that you have. This is the life that Cassie was brought up in. And even if her parents were overprotective of her, they were far from terrible parents. Actually, from hearing what other parents were like, Cassie strongly prefers the Longbottoms over any others.
Cassie was born on the Eighteenth of May in 2007. Fifteen months after the couple had their first son, Linus. Saying that having the kids born so close together for a good reason seems just as true as having them born with a few years between them. Babies are babies, they'll scream, cry, slobber, and stink, no matter what the age difference is. The best reason for the two to have such a close age would be on decisions, it would never be an overpowering when it came down to boys vs girls in the family.
Not only are the Longbottoms great parents, they seem to have decent kids. Neither Linus nor Cassie have ever messed up too bad. They've both had their fair share of bad grades, but neither of them will ever be receiving the "partier of the year" award anytime soon. Which, for Cassie seems surprising since she's suddenly taken an interest in the bad boys of Hogwart's. But perhaps after flaunting over all the sweet boys she's sick of the safe feeling they give her.
