Style: Z dresses in what makes her comfortable and does not care what anyone may think of her. If she isn't in her school robes she could be dressed in anything from skinny jeans and a tank top to a hoodie and sweats. If she is turning to the more casual side of things then it's likely you will catch her in Quidditch jersey's that show her support for her home country, Ireland or any of the other teams she supports. She's not one to care about fashion unless it's a big occasion. Z makes a big effort when it comes to things like balls but would still much prefer to dress someone up than get dressed up herself.
Distinguishing Marks: Nose, ears and belly button pierced. She is looking into getting a tattoo thought she hasn't gotten one yet. Z has a long thin scar across her left arm from when her Dad lost it.
PERSONALITY

Personality: Zara is a bright spark who enjoys to read and listen and make music. She is very outspoken and often loud. Z usually ends up being there for people if they need her regardless of if she knows them well or not. Although she will care for people Zara doesn't believe in wrapping them in cotton wool and is usually quite blunt in what she believes and tells them exactly what she thinks. Even she would say that she is like the muggle marmite.
Even though she is loud not a lot of people know who she really is. Z doesn't like to share herself with other people for fear of getting hurt nd rejected. That's just how she is. She has her brother and Bert and that suits her fine. Her feelings on the matter is the more that you choose to let people in the more chance there is of someone hurting you. When you get hurt you change and Zara wished to be nothing more than herself. She doesn't want people to mould her, especially knowing that she is partially the way she is because of her father.

General History: Zara was born three years after her brother Jason. At this point her parents marriage was already rocky and they seemed to be staying together for the sake of the children which would grow to be a big mistake. They would not make the marriage last and Maxine would eventually leave the family without a word or a backward glance. Her Aunt would tell her and Jason that their mother left them for a muggle man. This news would hurt Jason the most. Z can barely remember her mother and feels nothing for her.
Her father sunk into the habit of drink and soon became dependent on it to the point Jason and Zara went to live with their Aunt. She would raise them, (which was basically to leave them unless they needed anything) and take them to visit their father on weekends. It would be rare that they would see him sober and the visits usually culminated in arguments. The older she grew the more Zara would pity her father and the way he lived.
When Z was 8 her brother left for Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin. She missed him dearly and would often sulk for days if she did not receive letters from him. He would come back in the holidays and tell her about what he had learnt for a price and so she would often be left without pocket money, simply to feed her curiosity. She would try to take books from his trunk to read but more often than not would be scuppered and would have to make do with childish stories instead.
In the summer before she started Hogwarts on a visit to her father Zara was unfortunately caught in the crossfire between Del and his sister and was left with the long thin scar she bears on her left arm today. The visits to her father then became less frequent until her aunt passed away when she was 13. It was at this point that Jason and Zara moved back in with their father and his care fell into their hands. Jason had less patience with his father than Zara. She would often sit with him prying the bottle from his hand. At the age of 17 Jason moved out of the home and Z saw no choice but to stay with her Dad.
At 11 she was sorted into Ravenclaw and settled into Hogwarts making friends with Bert who she would adopt as brother. He made things easier for her and she would appreciate him thought still be utterly annoyed by him. She confided in Bert about her father and her own life. The trust she built with that one person was enough for her. Her brother graduated Hogwarts and she still remains there now.
Things between herself and Jason seem to be straining though. He seems caught up in things he shouldn't and she's not sure if she should follow him or stay out of it all. Zara has asked him to come home and just help her whilst she finishes her studies but he is not keen. Jason has asked her to move in with him and leave their father. Truly, Z is just glad to be starting back at Hogwarts this year and get away from her own life.
