Boggart: Dying too young
Patronus: She wolf
Strengths: Enthusiastic, composed, practical.
Weaknesses: Insecure, unsure, oblivious.
Personality: Ally Wood has a natural protective edge in her, being an older sister to a younger brother. Being extremely close with her parents and brother, family means quite a bit to Ally, and not just in the nuclear sense, but to everyone she considers family, including close friends. This instinctive tendency to help where help is needed and heal where there are wounds is probably what drove her to open a day-care in the first place, besides her love of children.
Although she is protective, she doesn’t wear this characteristic like a bright graphic t-shirt. Ally is also fun-loving and relatively optimistic. She can be sarcastic, but rarely in a derogatory way, more playful and poke-fun-at. Ally loves mornings; the prophet, a hot cup of coffee, and a front porch are all she needs for a perfect one- but she does enjoy nightlife as well, mostly for the sociability in it, as she loves to meet new people. Her favorite place to be though, under any circumstances, is outside. Anything in the outdoors gets her blood pumping, be in hiking, swimming, camping, or croquet.

Father: Oliver Wood
Mother: Katie Bell
Siblings: Younger brother

Other Important People: Aidan Loveland, Mitchell Frobisher
General History: The Woods grew up a happy little family in Ottery St. Catchpole, well away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Oliver and Katie provided a large plot of land for their family, on which they built a house, a half-pitch for Quidditch, and a pond to swim in. Also nearby were some large cornfields from muggle farmers and a nice wooded area in which to hike. All in all, the Wood children were raised in nature and by nature. Childhood for Alison and her brother was a happy time. As soon as Ally was born, Oliver, a world-class keeper at the time, left his position to spend time with his kids. Katie, an editor for the Daily Prophet, also cut back on her hours at work. Family was always stressed as the most important thing. Alison definitely took that away from her younger years.
Age eleven, and her Hogwarts letter was merrily dropped into their post box. Ally settled into Hogwarts pretty easily, very much enjoying most of her classes. She made a handful of friends, and even found a close friend in the older Mitchell Frobisher, two years her senior, one year ahead of her in Hogwarts. Though the pair was rather unorthodox, Ally had always been known as mature for her age, and the friendship was known to pretty much everyone in their house. It wasn’t a surprise to see the pair playing game of exploding snap outside by the lake on Saturday morning.
In her fifth year, Alison’s entire life was uprooted. Oliver, who had decided to enter back into the world of Quidditch, received a job offer from the American Quidditch League to referee their Champions League matches. He accepted, and the family decided to stay together rather than have the Atlantic Ocean be between them. Alison said goodbye to all of her friends, including her best friend Mitchell, and headed for the states to finish her wizarding education.
She graduated from a school in New York, but left without a clue of what she wanted to do with her life. As a teen, she’d always babysat and been a nanny for families over the summer, so she held a couple different jobs that way. She lived with her parents until she was nineteen, when she decided to lease a small, one-bedroom apartment. With no steady job and no real prospects, Ally often wondered what she really wanted to do with the life that was before her.
Then she met Aidan, an American keeper for the state of New York. She had never been in a relationship before, but she started to have real feelings for the young man, who was introduced to her by her father. He pursued her very diligently, and soon, they called what they’d gotten themselves into a relationship. The pair had many happy times together, and Alison knew that she did love him.
A couple years passed, and Aidan continued to shine as an American star. Alison, on the other hand, was bored. She didn’t quite know what to do with herself, and she wasn’t sure where to start. It was by chance that her mother mentioned to her the pieces of news that would get the ball rolling. Their family friend, the owner of a wizarding day-care center, was retiring. The place would be shutting down, much to the dismay of the many wizarding families whose parents worked, and children needed a place to stay, learn about wizarding culture, and have their untamed magic kept in check.
It was a difficult decision, but Alison was struck by a passion she hadn’t had before. She wanted to take the small thing she’d always enjoyed doing and make a real business of it, and this was the way to do it. However, in order to keep the cliental that were basically being provided for her, it would require a move back to England. Aidan didn’t want Alison to leave him, but in the end, he knew he couldn’t hold her back from something that she really wanted to do. The pair decided to make their relationship long-distance, not wanting to break up despite the strain it would apply to their relationship.
Alison has just settled down into the midst of London, a very different atmosphere than she is used to. On weekdays, she runs her new, small day care, specifically for budding wizards and witches in the making. On weekends, she explores, and enjoys her life. Not even back in Europe three weeks, and she is enjoying herself. She misses her boyfriend, but she is excited for her work ahead.
