"I'm hooooome~" Though the actual knowing if someone else was actually there in the small apartment was a rather unknown thing to the blonde as she closed the door after her. However, the barking and then the loud padding of feet hitting the ground approaching where Dominique stood immediately brought a smile to her lips as she knelt down and was practically knocked backwards from the force of the jump that came from the young Australian Shepard pup she had. "Awww, look whose so happy to have me home!" Dominique cooed as she ruffled the multicolored hair of the young Pip, who barked several times as he tricked to lip her face and probably wag his tail off at the same time.
Gently pushing the pup back down Dominique stood herself up and brushed herself off, "Anyone else home?" she called out, meaning of course the other pet that lurked around the house and then the actual roommate as well. Stretching a bit Dominique moved over to the couch and plopped backwards with a heavy sigh, closing her light colored eyes for a moment and rested her hands behind her head. Oh yes, this was definitely the best place to be right about now, after a long week of work to be able to sit back and relax was the thing that Dominique wished she could do more often than she really did. Of course, it wasn't like the actual apartment had been the best atmosphere since TJ and Jackie had one of their fights, but that hardly meant that Dominique would stop coming home.
It was when Pip nudged her knee a couple of times and whined, that she opened her eyes once more and sat up to look down to the pup. Who in turn tilted his head to the side in a questioning sort of way, before turning his head at another sound and bolted back around the couch and down the slim hallway with his tail wagging from one side to another. A soft chuckle escaping her lips as she watched the pup and leaned back over the couch as if to peer down the hallway herself, "Is that my most favoritest person?" Dominique questioned in a sort of teasing or perhaps, playful voice.

Jackie adjusted her headphones, expecting them to fall off before her favourite song ended. That would be tragic. Did a door shut? Where did Pip go? Food no doubt, Dexter was still on her bed so it could not have been something important. She rested her head on her desk as she worked away on her next article for Witch Weekly. That was a problem with working for a magazine, she was bringing her work home with her in order to make sure nothing happened to it or to make sure it was absolutely perfect. Her entire bedroom looked like a miniaturized model of Witch Weekly Headquarters, give or take a few cubicles. She had come home almost two hours ago and yet to get changed out of her work clothes. But that seemed like too much of a hassle for some reason.
That almost seem to stretch far along Jackie's day to day chores though, and it had started after she stormed out on TJ. She had not even stopped thinking about him, not for a moment. She had a picture book dedicated to them and their friends laying next to her bed. Or somewhere around there, seeing as of this moment her entire bed region was covered with photos of models and colour squares. She lifted her head and stood from her chair, rubbing her eyes carefully to avoid smudging her make up. "Pip?" she called out, unaware of her voice's volume. Usually whenever Jackie was by herself both animals would stay close to her, besides the five seconds to wander into the kitchen for something to eat or the bathroom to use the litter box.
The blonde pulled her door all the way open, letting it slightly hit the wall. Pip stood right there, and Jackie sighed in relief. She slid her headphones onto her neck, letting the music very audible to anyone around. Dominique's voice caught Jackie's attention, "I hope it's your favourite person," she called in return. She moved out of the hallway and joined her best friend on the couch, resting her head in Dominique's lap. "I think old lady smell is some airborne potion that makes you procrastinate," she said closing her eyes and kicking off her heels finally.

Grinning at the sight of Jackie, Dominique nodded and leaned back against the couch, "Well, it most definitely is my most favorite person." And of course, Jackie had obtained that title after the several years of being with Dominique, or putting up with her, depending on the day and how the two felt each other. But either way, Jackie probably was Dominique's longest lasting friendship, and the one person outside of her family that Dominique trusted and considered to be simply another member of the crazed Weasley clan. Grinning down at Jackie as she laid her head in her lap, Dominique lightly placed her hand on her head and shook her head a bit.
"Well, I can believe that. Old lady smells certainly gets the better of me," of course, Dominique's training, to-be field of work was hardly the place where she had to worry about old lady smells. Except for the times when her boss would walk into the building for some reason or another, and she was wearing what she thought was a good smelling perfume. Frankly, Dominique never understood the appeal to such a thing that temporarily covered ones natural body smells, it was just another distraction as far as she was concerned. "And what are you procrastinating on today?" Dominique had always found it amusing, the sort of differences between the two of them, Dominique being the rougher around the edges outwardly, while Dominique had been told that Jackie came off as the softer one of the two.
Although, she had a feeling that those bright eyes of Jackie's and the way they held the gentle look to them (as long as in a good mood), was the way Jackie managed to sucker people into thinking just that. A soft chuckle escaping her as these thoughts ran through her mind, "Anything good happening at that work of yours?" Dominique questioned looking back down to her as Pip came to sit down at her feet looking between the two girls, ears perked up as if he too, wanted to hear the latest updates and gossips that would come from the two girls. "Or anything that I should be kept up to date with, within this fashion focused world of ours?" Not that Dominique could really see herself going out of her way to buy the latest fashions or anything like that.

Jackie closed her eyes while Dom rested her hands on her head. "Everything," Jackie whined, "I have to create this article specifically saying why colours like hot pink and my jacket will never look good nor professional. Not only that but I have to find picture of the witches that are in season that prove my point. Which sucks because no photographer wants to partner up with the newbie in fear that their work will be ruined." Jackie sat up and pulled her jacket off. "It's like this never ending circle. Am I suppose to win some kind of journalism award to convince those guys that what I write is quality? I'd rather hire a freelance but those guys pay way too much for a mere photograph." She was going to leave out how making what she was saying to seem interesting was hard at the moment. The last thing she wanted was to have Dom play therapist for her.
"How's your training going?" She asked, looking over at her friend. She was quite happy that Dom was going into a field that required knowing how to protect you and the ones surrounding you. It made their flat feel even safer, even if Dom was still in training. "Any new peeps that could go binge drinking with us in the near future?" She asked curiously. Truthfully she was not curious about anyone joining her and Dom's friendship. She was mostly interested if Dom had found a potential love interest but bringing that up seemed like a terrible, jealous idea for Jackie. Still, she wanted to know about her best friend's life.
"Some times I want to go over to TJ's," she thought aloud, "but then it's like, TJ would never want to see me. I've yelled at him so much. But he's such a kid!" Jackie covered her face with her hands in stress. She had always been the grown up between the two of them. Just once she wanted him to be the grown up and tell her to stop misbehaving long enough to enjoy a pleasant dinner. That's what all her co-workers told her; how he should be acting. Why did he have to be so immature?

Just listening to Jackie go on about the fashions she needed to do and the amount of things that needed to be done in order to prove herself, caused Dominique to shake her head. This was not the sort of thing she could ever see herself doing, it was just too much work that dealt with fashion and was simply not the sort of thing she had the patience for. "I don't know how you do it, dude." Dominique spoke up shaking her head once more. Removing her hand as Jackie stood up she shifted herself and turned to face the other. "But I bet you can do it, show those people you're one badass fashion reporter." and she meant it too, Dominique had seen how hard Jackie had worked for this position and how much she actually was able to keep up withe fashions dos and don'ts.
"Ahhh..Training..." Dominique rubbed her chin for a moment, "Well, we did a lot of swift spell sort of exercises, and then we did a fair amount of actual fighting against each other." It was one of those tougher days, Dominique thought, but it showed that if you weren't quick on your feet then you would most likely be screwed when it came time to hunt the real enemies down. "I think we're going to do a sort of...scavenger hunt of sorts but you've gotta be aware of whats going on and ready to counter what comes at us, for the next training session."
Dominique couldn't help but grin just the slightest bit when she heard Jackie bring up TJ, without any sort of prompt from herself. "He's a goofball, thats for sure." Dominique said slowly and ran a hand through her hair for a moment as she thought over the next thing she would say concerning TJ and the predicament they had themselves in. "Then maybe we should go and surprise him, in a peaceful manner." Dominique said, pausing for a brief moment and then lightly winked at Jackie in what could be considered a playful way. She knew she needed to tread this sort of conversation, but hey, who knew maybe a surprise visit would be a good thing.

Jackie gave a shrug. It took more effort to coordinate colours and put together interesting articles than most people realized. There was a psychological part to it. The magazine had to have the top model on the cover. It certainly helped when it was one of the best Quidditch players in the country, possibly the world. Unfortunately, this magazine was no cover and so, having a new quidditch player for every month was nearly impossible. Just last month she had met the radio host, Glenda Chittock, and frankly her voice did not match what she looked like. Jackie pictured a younger, prettier looking lady. Instead, Glenda she was incredibly pasty and her hair could have used more care instead of looking like some old muggle monster movie hairstyle. She was a fifty-nine year old lady and looked eighty-something. Jackie always cringed at the thought of looking older than she actually was. "It takes a great deal of patience," Jackie said in response to Dom's statement.
Jackie knew she could never do what Dom had decided to do for a living. It required more body and mental strength than the blonde knew she had. "I think you're going to beat all the other trainees by a landslide," Jackie chimed. She knew her friend was going to make a great hit-witch, once she was finally out in the field. "And just think, you'll really impress all the boys in the department. They'll be all 'DAMN, who's that fine lady who can handle herself in a fight? I'd love to partner up with her' and then they'll do those lame winks to imply their innuendos," her eyes widened as she finished her comment. Dom was a pretty girl, but unlike Jackie, she seemed to not focus on her love life. That was alright though, that was why she had her fellow blonde in the first place.
The idea of visiting TJ in a civilized manner was always in the back of Jackie's head. It had only been a week, and her pride was still getting the better of her. Even if she desperately wanted to see him, she couldn't do it on the terms she left. That made her look like the crazy bi-polar girlfriend. She was perfectly content on staying as the crazy girlfriend. Unfortunately, she was only slightly aware that if she never went back to his flat, she might become the crazy ex-girlfriend. That was the number one thing that she did not want to happen. "You're right..." she finally said after a moment of silence, "but, like, we can't just show up unannounced. Y'know? What if he get there and TJ has some new girl in his bedroom? I don't think I could truly face that..." she brushed her bangs out of her face, looking at the television instead of in Dominque's direction.

Dominique found herself nodding in agreement and felt Pip nuzzle her hand with his moist snout and grinned as she looked to the pup and gently stroked his head. "Its definitely something that I wouldn't, and do not have the patience for." and the chances of that ever changing seemed rather slim to Dominique, she would leave the fashion to Jackie and she would leave her fighting skills to herself. She thought the friendship had some of the better benefits, Dominique would always be able to make sure Jackie and their home was safe, while if Dominique ever needed some sort of fashion help she could turn to Jackie. Either way it benefited one or the other and besides that, Dominique simply liked actually living with someone who understood herself to the extent that Jackie did when it came to Dominique.
"Psssh. You bet! I'm going to tooootally beat all their asses, I'm already one of the better when it comes to that hand to hand combat." And that was true, Dominique could always think of her training as something she could be proud of. Something which she could stand out in and prove that she wasn't just another Weasley spon. Tilting her head back as she laughed at the next statement, shaking her head a bit. "Oh yeah. I'll be the eye candy of the hit people's department in no time, and they better give me a kickass partner. No way am I doing all the work." She would have to whip her partner into shape if she ended up getting someone like that, and she knew that there were partners like that. Dominique had seen one too many of them wandering around the department. "Maybe they'll just let Pip be my partner." she joked with another laugh.
She rubbed her chin for a moment as she listened to Jackie, sure she knew that simply barging into someone else's home probably wasn't the best idea around. Hell, she knew they could get into a fair amount of trouble for doing something like that, but Dominique also knew that sometimes you just had to force two feuding elements together in order to get things moving. "Okay, if TJ had some other chick there and he was getting it with her...I can promise that some bitch, hair pulling, fist throwing fight will go down." Dominique said shaking her head. "And second of all, the chances of TJ being able to do anything with another girl is pretty darn slim, especially since all he thinks about is you." Although, Dominique had thought she'd heard some sort of rumor about a party going down at least within the same complex of where TJ and Davin lived, which seemed like a perfectly good excuse to go over to there place. "There may be a party we can go to, you know, and go and check on TJ."

Jackie quite enjoyed being the fashionista of their household. It made her feel vital. Because, in all honesty, sometimes Dominque could not pair anything that matched her beautiful looks and figure. There were days where Jackie would lay out clothes for Dom to wear, although those were rare occasions. She wanted to make sure her best friend was taken as a professional before she even became one. Not some intern or trainee to be stepped on all the time. Look the part, be the part, that was Jackie's work motto. It may not have been working so well in her own job as of late, but what do you expect when you're the youngest person there? "That's why you have me love dove," she patted her best friend's leg.
"See, that's what I'm talking about," Jackie started, "because you're probably the prettiest one there. Add the fact that you can handle yourself really well, without a wand. You're a badass babe around that lot." She rested her head back in her friends lap. "I think you'll have no problem getting your partner to help you if they start out as a slacker. Just give them a serious threat and I'll vouch for you and they'll believe you in a matter of seconds. I mean, a small fraction of you is veela-blood and any one who payed attention in school would know that full veelas can be crazy when angered, like life-threatening. So maybe you could convince them that you're like that," she said coming to her conclusion. "Pip would be the best partner in the world!" she exclaimed.
Jackie could feel herself getting angry at the mere idea of TJ being with another girl. She already wanted to apparate into his flat and claw at his face with her well manicured nails. TJ wouldn't move on that quick, would he? No, he wasn't an ass, he was sweet just immature a lot of the times. "I don't even want to picture some blond in his arms that isn't me," she let one of her arms dangle over the couch, instantly feeling the soft fur of her kitten. "How do you know that I'm all he thinks about? You'd have to be in like contact with him," she speculated. Party in the neighbor hood? Well that would be a good excuse to appear in their area of town. "Okay, but only if there's a party; I don't want to show up dressed for a party and find a completely empty street with no loud music coming out of the windows," she said.

It was in fact, true that Dominique was never the one to really care about what she went out in. What would make what little curves she did have stand out in a good way, or if it went well with her skin color. Whatever it was that most fashion based people tended to look at when it came to those trends, it was one of those reasons why Dominique loved Jackie as much as she did. It was good to have contrast between people so close, and while Jackie held on to the girlier side, Dominique was the one who could make this place safer, a more of a buff vibe. Which was why Jackie so often had to fix what Dominique was wearing before she was allowed to go out in public. "Mmm, my own personal fashion...checker? Hmm?" she teased lightly.
Dominique laughed as she listened to her go on, "Mmmm. The type of girl Hollywood just loves to portray by the sound of it. The looks, the strength. And I will beat any boys ass, who tries to order me around," Dominique said with a firm nod. But no, she really was the sort who would rather fight against some overbearing person than become submissive, something which had already managed to get her into trouble a couple of times. Grinning again Dominique was quick to agree, She found her hand back in the same way that it had been when Jackie had first rested her head in her lap, a soft smile returning to her lips. "Oh yes, this plan I like. I've got you as a voucher, which that in its own should scare the people who tried to mess with me and don't believe that I'll be super passive," Dominique said with a chuckle. "Ahh yess. This veela temper of mine would do the trick if nothing else did," Dominique had well enough seen her mother's temper flare up over the years, and there was no doubt in her mind that she'd obtained the same sort of temper.
"Pip would be! Not only that he would be the cutest one too!" Dominique grinned as she patted the head of the pup. Who in turn wagged his fluffy tail from one side tot he other, as he looked between his two favorite humans. Ah, there she would have it, she'd need to think of some sort of excuse, "I just know the kid well enough to see how googoo eyed over one particular blonde whose name starts with a J." she said lightly poking her cheek as she looked down to Jackie. "Don't worry, I would never take you to some sketchy party. If this turns out to be a total joke, then we'll leave and have ourselves a party of our own," Dominique grinned once more. "And who knows, with this party maybe there will be a nice little theme and we can find an excuse to dress ourselves in a manner we wouldn't normally." That was, if the so called rumors she'd heard were in fact accurate, but she would just have to wait until the actual time of the party to find out.

"Well, that depends on the movie that Hollywood is supporting though, doesn't it? The chick flicks tend to support the more feminine roles that are fragile being," she said. "But don't worry, you get the role of being the strong girl that guys want to shag after leaving the theater." While that was true, appearance wise Jackie did fit the girl in the chick flick movie. Although, she did like to think she was stronger than some girl who cried over everything and needed a man to make her feel better. Even though she had that habit of getting mad over everything her man did. Or, well, ex-man. No, still her man, despite what everyone believed. She firmly believed that her and TJ would get back together. He would crack, he always cracked.
"Yes! See? Those slackers won't even know what hit them. You'll come in looking all powerful in a powersuit, get all up in their space and tell them what you expect from them and that they will meet those expectations," she chimed. "Hey, if anything, I'd blame the veela part of you for everything. After all you can't help that you're so naturally beautiful, eh?" the sad part was that over the years, Jackie had received many pick up lines similar to that. As charming as they were, she always found it funny since the veela happened to be the rough and tough tomboy.
"Pip would be the greatest partner in the world! Just give him a potion that makes him breath fire and I'm sure it will work perfectly," she giggled. The blonde would actually love to see a fire breathing corgi in the future. Jackie smiled faintly at Dominque's comment. It was nice to hear from others that TJ was completely head over heels for her. "Argh, alright fine, we can walk by any party they might be having. As for themed, how are we going to know exactly? Ask around people they might know? Won't they find that a bit weird and stupid?" she asked.

Nodding as she listened her free hand went to stroke the fur of the young Pip once more, something of a habit and a soft snicker came to her features. "Mmm, the shaggable girl with the backbone, hmmm? Well at least we make a good duo you and I, the sweet beautiful girl with a heart of gold and a strong fashion sense, and the girl who could gladly go out camping and get down and dirty and still manage to look gorgeous." The last part held more of a joking tone to it, but Dominique decided right then and there that one day she would make a point to write a screen play that involved the two of them. Two superheros or something like that where the two could go around....kicking some dudes butt or rescuing babies from buildings...well, she had time to figure it out. But it would definitely happen.
She placed a hand turned outwards to her forehead and did a sarcastic "woe is me" sort of sigh as she listened to the comment. "Veela good looks and temper, you can bet all them boys come after me," Though they didn't really, not that Dominique could say she really minded it all that much. Especially since she wouldn't know what to do with all the boys, Jackie was much better at dealing with them than Dom ever was. Now there was an image, the little pup next to her breathing fire and running around catching criminals with her, the image that popped into her head was enough to cause a large laugh to come from her. "Oh man, Pip would definitely be the best partner ever. And he's so devoted he'd do anything I said, especially if a treat was involved." Oh yes, Dominique would have to look into and see if there was a way to have animals as pets instead of just some human that would have all those emotions to go along side him. "People are just so difficult, my veela half would want to kick their butts all the time,"
Dominique stroked her chin for a moment as she listened to her friends questions and shrugged her shoulders slightly. "Well, we are blonde, we could always live up to the social stereotype of us blondes." Dominique offered with a smile, the thought of the two living up to what was expected of blondes seemed like a very far off, distant universe. "If that doesn't work, we can grab like...uh..." she had to stop and think for a moment, "Sexual or suggestive outfits and we could just work our way into said party. And then you can wow TJ and he'll be like, 'Hot damn, I should still be tapping that'," Though Dominique couldn't help but laugh a bit as she tried to picture that actually coming from TJ. Not that it would really surprise her, but it was still quite amusing to imagine. "I'd say the sexual outfits would get us in anywhere if we really wanted to."
