"You can feel guilty all you want Tabitha. It doesn't matter how much you hated yourself, you still did it. What was your exact thought process?" He had to restrain himself from wanting to grab some thing and throw it. But he wasn't really the violent type, and he knew whatever got damaged would have to be replaced by him, and he had other things to do with his paycheck. Like probably start paying child support, which he'd do willingly. "I was eighteen too Tabitha! I could have handled it, just like you! You shouldn't have had to do it alone! My dreams didn't matter, Teagan mattered!" He yelled. It was true, Teagan would have come first. He wasn't just mad for missing six years of her life, but for letting Tabitha go it alone. That wasn't right either.
He sighed. Tabitha wasn't getting the point. There was just nothing that she could say that would make up for him missing out on T's life for so long. And Prince T? Who the hell was Prince T and how did that concern him? Why would they keep Teagan out of her hair about her father? He was so confused, and wanted to yell some more, grab Tabitha and shake some sense into her, but Teagan was now there. And he didn't know what to do. He hadn't expected to meet her so unexpectedly, that when Tabs told him to sit, he just did. Teagan was holding the stuffed animal, the one he had given Tabitha, and Prince T wanted her to have it. The girl was eyeing him wearily, and he didn't blame her. She'd walked in on him yelling at her mom. He tried to smile, but he felt nauseous. That's now how you wanted to meet your daughter.
Tristan listened about how the evil sorcerers didn't want him, the Prince, to see Teagan, but he was staring at Tabitha. Teagan then brought her attention to him, showing him the monkey, and babbling on about it's booboos. He was a little scared, but finally tore his eyes from Tabitha and looked at Teagan who was now standing right in front of him. He knelt down on one knee, so that he could look at her in the face. He held out his hand for her, and then looked down at the monkey. "I think that this monkey is in even better condition than when I got it from the dragon. My bumblebee has done an amazing job at keeping him safe, but if she wants, I can find a new one," he said, ignoring Tabitha. "But I think this one would feel sad."
So Tabitha had tried to make sure that Teagan knew who he was, and that she wouldn't hate him when they finally had met. Of course, if it had been much later, Teagan would have grown out of the story. It could happen down the road still. He held out his arms, hoping Teagan would actually want him to pick her up. And she did. He picked her up, and stood up, looking at Tabitha again. "I think Prince T needs to talk to his Princess. But he does need his bumblebee in his life, too. And the Princess needs to decide some things." He wasn't willing to let Teagan out of his life now that she was in it, but he and Tabitha had a lot of shit to discuss. In the back of his mind, he wondered if there'd be a chance to give Teagan both of her parents, together, not apart. But he pushed that from his mind. He didn't think he'd be able to trust Tabitha enough, but he still had to discuss Teagan's future with him in it. But he didn't want to with T in the room.

"Yes. I did it Tristan. And you can think whatever you want," she was about ready to throw her hands into the air and just visibly break down in any manner of way, she hadn't experience this many thoughts and feelings and rages in forever. "Okay. You may have not realized this Tristan, but did you know about 55% of our conversations about dreams and goals and the future was you going on and on about how nothing would stop you from getting to that dream job of yours?" She said carefully looking to him. "I mean, from day one I heard about your basic step by step set of plans and then out of nowhere, I was pregnant. I, who planned to go off and...I dunno, save the world for all I knew was eighteen, pregnant and totally confused." She grabbed at the top of her head.
"There was a time where I considered everything, adoption, even abortion and I hate, hate the idea of abortion and I perform them now and see how they impact mothers. And then I went to that very first appointment and got to see this tini tiny little thing on the screen. And there was no way I was giving her up." Tabitha had no idea if any of this would even matter to him, if it made sense but she knew that at the time it had to her. "I got home after that and I was so freaking happy, and then I remembered fuck. This'll ruin everything for him, sure he could be happy, but I would be the cause of his dreams totallly being stepped all over. And I knew, know, know, know, what I did was no better but for whatever reason leaving was what I thought was best at the time."
Tabitha closed her eyes again and chewed the bottom of her lip. "I wrote probably dozens of letters, especially on her birthdays with pictures and everything. I never sent them, I got close a few times. I even gave one to my mom which had information in it for you. But considering the fact that this all happened, I take it she never passed it on." However, she stopped speaking and smiled at Teagan as she glanced between her father and herself.
Teagan visibly brightened at the words of praise coming from Tristan and hugged the monkey tight to herself as she listened. "Really?! Even better! Cause...cause sometimes I think mommy's bandaids didn't work.." she mumbled and blushed as she glanced to Tabitha and then back to Tristan. She then stopped to look at the monkey once more and nodded, oh yes, Teagan definitely wouldn't want to loose this one, not when she had been doing her best to make sure that nothing worse than what already had happened to it, happened. "Nnnn...Well Prince T...I do really like him..." Biting her lower lip in the same manner that Tabitha always did she, and it disappeared as she felt herself up in the arms of Prince T. Letting her short arms wrap around his neck to keep that firm sort of grip on him, now that she found him she couldn't just let him wander away, now could she?
"Mmmm. It would certainly seem that way," Tabitha said side glancing before throwing her arms up over her head before running her hands through her hair once more and moved over. Smiling partly and lightly tapping Teagan's nose. "Don't you look like a beautiful Princess with the Prince." Tabitha said before backing off. "I'm Bumble!" Teagan announced sticking her tongue out in a playful manner. She glanced out the window at the middle aged man outside who looked rather pissed at her. And Tabitha groaned under her breath, "That'll be fun to deal with." She murmured before turning back to Teagan. "And you, little bumble bee, have to make sure you tell Prince T. All about yourself."

He was trying to understand where Tabitha was coming from. He really was. But he still wasn't following. There was nothing logical in that, but maybe... Maybe to an eighteen year old it was. "Because I thought nothing would get in the way. What did you think I was so immature, so focused on only myself that I would have just left you alone... Wouldn't have made it work?" he couldn't believe she would think such things. He could have still been a curse breaker, but later in life. He wouldn't have ever wanted to have her out of his life, and certainly not his daughter.
Adoption? Abortion? How long had she known she was pregnant before she disappeared? He was still pacing, thinking. He hadn't noticed. He hadn't noticed a damn thing. He didn't see anything bothering her, or wrong with her. He had thought they were just having fun, a blissful time. No... they hadn't used a condom. But it wasn't like it was their first time. And they'd rarely used one. He knew now how stupid that would have been, but back then hadn't thought anything of it. "What stupid eighteen year olds we both were," he said, a little above a whisper. He was more speaking to himself at this point. Yelling was pointless at this point, and he looked back down at his arms. He didn't even give a shit about them anymore.
She'd written him. Her mum didn't even send the letters. Or maybe she had tried and he was so unreachable. He mentally cursed himself. He loved everything about his job, but he had no permanent address. He stayed with his brother when he was in England, and didn't give out the address. He didn't ever need mail. "She could have. I don't really have a home to get letters at. But I wouldn't have wanted a letter saying all this," he said, but he was no longer looking at Tabitha. He was no longer yelling. He just wanted to clear his head.
Teagan had her arms securely wrapped around him. Like she never wanted to let go. "Of coure mummy's band aids worked. She's the best healer around, now isn't she?" he said, looking at how worn out the monkey was. Like she had taken it everywhere. He wondered why Tabitha would have given it to her, if he hadn't bothered to let her know that he was her father, he was just some Prince in a story. "I picked it out special for my bumblebee," he said, smiling at her in his arms. What else was he supposed to do?
Tabitha was being beckoned by what he guessed was her supervisor. He looked like a disgusting, fat, greasy man, who had other things on his mind than his job. Tristan glared as she left the room, keeping his eye on the door as he looked at Teagan in his arms. He set her down on the bed and sat next to her. "Teagan... I am Prince T, but my full name is Tristan," he said, holding his hand out for her to grab, which she did. "I've known your mommy a really long time. Almost thirteen years. She was princess for a couple of them. I really loved her," he said. Then he leaned down to her and whispered in her ear. "Can you keep a secret Teagan?" he asked, and when she nodded he continued. "I still love your mommy."
That had been true. He knew he still loved Tabitha. He always had. But there was too much going on to even actually think about that. Now it was about Teagan. "I'm also more than just a prince, bumblebee. I'm also your daddy, which makes you a princess," he said, looking at her with pride. It was in the open now, Teagan knew that she did have a father. He wondered if she'd question where he'd been for six years. He didn't have a good answer though.

"Ughhhh..." Tabitha groaned, she almost felt like pooling out her hair. She knew after the years had passed that she really had freaked out more than she should have, and didn't handle it in a way that she probably would now. "I never thought you were immature or anything like that. In fact I thought you would be a wonderful father, and still do think so. But I can't take back what I did, and I am sorry for that." she said closing her eyes and opening after them a moment as she listened to what he barely whispered. "Oh, very stupid." she agreed, folding her arms over her chest and shook her head at the older man out of the room and found herself glancing back towards Tristan. "Listen, I've gotta go get yelled at or whatever, don't do anything and don't let Teagan leave." she said simply before moving from her spot and placed a kiss on Teagan's head before gently closing the door after her.
"Listen, I know---" however she was cut off by the overly angry male that stood before her. "Tabitha! This is the second time we've had complaints!" he snapped bringing a chubby hand up to wave a finger in her face and Tabitha took a step back out of habit. "No you listen!" he snapped shaking his head, his other hand running the fat hand over his greasy head. "This is the second time you've been the source of disturbance!" he snapped. "I--" Tabitha threw her hands over his mouth before he could say much else. "I know, and I'm truly sorry, but I promise nothing else will happen!" she said, biting the bottom of her lip and cringed a bit as he yanked her hands from his mouth. "I'll do overtime, or take care of the babies or anything...just don't say those words." she whispered and flinched as he stroked her arm, she tried not throw up from the man's slimy touch.
"Anything, hmmm?" He questioned. Ew, holy shit. This was so disgusting, and she tried to tug her hand back, "Now don't be hasty," he stated shaking his head.
Teagan had to blink at him a moment as she heard the words escape his lips and she tilted her head to the side for a moment. So Prince T was also her daddy? She was a Princess? A wide smile appeared at her features and she kneeled on the bed where she had been placed and lightly took his cheeks into either hand and carefully studied his features, something mature for perhaps a six year old. But it was something that her mother did to her when searching for the truth, so Teagan figured she might as well do the same with Tristan. However, that smile remained on her face the whole while and nodded happily, "I always wanted a daddy!" It was true, she'd often seen other kids walk off hand in hand with their fathers, or their uncles or whatever while she was often stuck waiting for her mother to pick her up from school.
"And...if Prince T is my daddy...Thats even better!" she concluded with a firm nod of sorts. Oh yes, of course this was alright with a six year old, besides in her mentality as long as he meant what he said, whether it be about being her father or being in love with her mommy and knowing her for so long, then Teagan saw nothing wrong with that. Ah, how simple it was for a six year old, to forgive and move on, to be amused so easily that there wasn't even a reason to fret about it. "So ummmm...If D--" she paused for a moment, the word pretty much foreign on her tongue despite the times she had asked her mother about the father she had never met. "If Daddy loves Mommy, and Mommy loves Daddy and Mommy and Daddy love me, then we should all be together!" she said with a wild smile as if she had come up with the best idea ever.
That smile widened again as she heard she was a Princess, clapping her hands together at this, "I always wanted to be a bumble bee princess!"

Tristan was just done with the conversation. It was done, it was past. He couldn't just yell anymore. Teagan was around, and there was nothing more to argue about. what was done was done, and now... Now he and Tabitha were going to have to have a very long talk, when she wasn't at work. But to be honest, he didn't want to see her. He wanted to see Teagan, of course, but he didn't know how he was going to trust Tabitha, or sit in a room and hear a bunch of things that probably weren't going to go his way. He watched as Tabitha left to go talk to the disgusting looking man. "Um... Okay..." he said, not sure how to take care of a child. Something he could have learned if he'd been involved in Teagan's upbringing.
Relief washed over him when Teagan said she always wanted a daddy. Of course, he could only imagine her having to grow up without one, not knowing what it's like to have one, but knowing she's supposed to. She had to have seen everyone else with their fathers. He wondered what he would say if she asked why he wasn't in her life for six years. But that would probably happen when she was older. Most six year olds don't think of that, but Teagan was very perceptive, which he could tell right away. "And I always wanted a bumblebee princess," he said, hugging her. He only hoped that he would prove to be a good father, like the Prince T in the story. He wanted to know the entire Prince T story. What had Tabitha said about him?
Of course Teagan would ask the next question. One that he wasn't sure how to answer. Tabitha probably didn't love him, but how would he tell his daughter that her mother didn't love her father? That was a lot of stress to put on a six year old, and he couldn't explain things he didn't know, like Tabs' emotions. He sighed, a loud heavy sigh. "I haven't seen your mom in about six years. I do love you, Teagan, and I love your mom. But we all need to have a chat, and we can't while she's at work," he said. The entire reason he was there was completely forgotten. But he didn't care. He had a daughter.
Tristan looked out towards the hallway. Tabitha was taking a long time. He didn't want her to get in trouble because of him. But from what he could see, she wasn't getting into that kind of trouble. Was he...? He was. That guy was being a slime ball. He had a hold of Tabitha's arm, and he wasn't letting go, even though she was obviously resisting. That got Tristan even more pissed. What the fuck? "Teagan, I'm going to go see if your mom needs some help. Can you stay here and not get into anything?" he was sure Teagan was quite well behaved, and would just sit there. Or at least he hoped Teagan would listen to Prince T.
Tristan stepped out towards the door. He heard the manager ask in his greasy voice if she'd do anything not to get in trouble. That was not okay. He stepped out in the hall, his face full of rage. "Excuse me, but what did I just hear?" he asked, grabbing the man by the front of his shirt and pushing him against the wall. He was quite short, especially compared to Tristan, and he was a roundly disgusting man. But Tristan pulled him up to eye level. "Who the fuck do you think you are?" he said, staring into his sweating little eyes. He didn't even look at Tabitha, his focus was on the supervisor. words didn't count tag Tabitha notesTristan may beat him to a pulp

Tabitha nodded to him and couldn't help but be at least slightly amused by the sort of uncertainty of his agreement. Of course Tristan wouldn't be 100% behind the whole ordeal, but she gave him somewhat of an encouraging smile before she had left the room. He would be fine right? He couldn't possibly manage to somehow let Teagan jump off the bed, or think that the aeroplane game was something where she was thrown and then ended up smacking to the ground or wall...could he? Nonsense! Tabitha shook her head, she could already feel those own creepings of uncertainty creep through her, something that hadn't been there since the first time she got a baby sitter for Teagan, and while she found it amusing thinking back on it, it was still something that clearly happened to her with Tristan reemerging.
Teagan smiled, and wrapped her short arms around her father and held onto him tightly for a long moment. It was something new for her, something which Teagan had wanted for quite some time, something that everyone else had but she seemed to be lacking. Not that she had a problem with her Uncle or her Grandpa, but they certainly weren't the same as her Daddy, and now she really had one. "Good! Then daddy can have his bumblebee princess, and Teagan can have her daddy!" Oh yes, this was exactly what she wanted. Now she would just have to make sure that her daddy didn't go anywhere, she would have to talk to her mom about being able to see her daddy more now, that was something that Teagan would want to have happen.
"Hmmmm..." Teagan muttered to herself tapping her chin, much like in the manner that someone might if they had something rather serious to consider. Which to a six year old, this whole thing probably was a rather serious situation. "Then daddy should come home with me and mommy!" There, problem solved. "And then mommy and daddy can talk, and then we can be together!" Oh yes, Teagan was a genius, she'd decided this on her own, even if she was oblivious to the fact that nothing was ever that simple, especially in the situation that had just come about.
Teagan blinked a couple of times, glancing towards the hallway and then back towards Tristan and nodded a bit. "Aye! Aye! Cap...Captain!" She said, having paused as if to make sure that she was in fact, saying the right word and correctly, for that matter. She let herself crawl up into the bed after this and sort of just sat with the little blue monkey resting there in her arms, fingers tracing over the fresh stitching that Tabitha had done over the last couple of weeks. "One...Two..." Teagan mumbled under her breath before she glanced towards the window, now watching her two parents for the time being.
Tabitha nearly jumped out of her skin, whether it was because of the touching or the sudden sound of Tristan's voice, she wasn't quite sure. Well, not that it mattered much seeing as how that superviser was now being yanked from herself and being pushed against Tristan's chosen wall. Her immediate reaction was to stop him, but for just the briefest of moments Tabitha almost smirked as she looked to the squirmy man as he seemed uncertain whether he should be acting enraged or if he should be trying to plead his way out of the situation that he currently found himself in. However when she saw him lifted from the ground she made her way over to where Tristan and the superviser was, there was no need to have the security alerted by someone else.
Although, Tabitha was pretty sure that any of the nurses or female doctors around at the time weren't going to say a word, and if questioned would say the superviser had it coming. Seeing as how he'd hit, been suggestive with the other women in the work place before, and it was not something that one would say was very welcoming. "I-I think sir! You need to put me down!" The superviser spat out as he tried to make himself intimidating to Tristan. Although even he knew he failed and so started with what could be considered a threat, "I'll...I'll call security!" he snapped. Tabitha lightly touched Tristan's shoulder at that, her attention turning towards the superviser, "Tristan," she muttered, although she was clearly trying to bite back a grin at the sight of the squirming superviser. "I think he's got the--" however she was cut off by the enraged comment by the superviser. "Shut up bitch, I'm handling it, you were the one who was leading me on!" He growled. Causing Tabitha to arch her brow a bit and back step, "Excuseyou?"

A part of Tris never wanted to let Teagan go. He had a daughter. He couldn't just disappear. He couldn't just let her go with Tabitha and not be in her life. But how? Tabitha... His Job. Teagan... Their history. There were so many factors. And he knew that they couldn't just go and have tea. He didn't want Teagan to hear anything bad happen between him and Tabitha if it got down to that kind of thing fighting for his right to be in Teagan's life, but probably not Tabitha's. He really wanted nothing to do with her at that moment. She'd betrayed him so much. "Yes, Teagan will have her daddy." He could at least promise that much.
Tristan couldn't think of an answer. He didn't know where Tabitha lived. She'd disappeared, and he'd never been able to track her down. Obviously she wasn't in hiding all that well, working in the wizarding public, but she also knew he would be residing mainly in Egypt. The last time he'd been home was back in July, he thought, and it was for about a week. "I... I don't know Princess. We'll have to see, okay?"
Tristan wished he could stay and keep talking to Teagan. She was so smart for a mere six year old, and he had so many questions. When was her birthday? What's her favourite colour? How does she like school? But the scene in the hallway... It just wasn't right. Tristan saluted the young girl, and smiled as she counted the stitches on her monkey under her breath. He couldn't help but wonder why she did that, and made a mental note to ask her at some point.
The short, fat man was squirming under his feat. Tristan didn't have blind rage, and he didn't normally get angry. But he had to do with Goblins, who weren't trusting and were rather mean, and he generally knew how to control his temper. But this man, this disgusting, vial man, was on his last nerve. He'd had too much news, and this man was not helping. "You'll be put down when you can keep your grimy mitts off of a respectable woman," he said through clenched teeth. "And I'd like to see you try."
He felt Tabitha's hand on his shoulder, but he shrugged it off. He couldn't stand men like this, and he didn't care how much trouble he could get in. He stood up for what he believed in and what was right, and this man was going to go. He'd make sure he never had a job again. Tabitha tried to speak, but the supervisor cut her off. And his comment was the last straw. In one swift movement the man was flat on his back, Tristan's knee very close to his throat, his wand above the man's nose. "I agree. Excuse you?" He said, venom in his every word. words didn't count tag Tabitha notesTristan's not normally violent, but he's not gonna let his lady be insulted

Teagan smiled when she heard that she would finally have her father, the father that everyone else seemed to have but she didn't. To think that she not only had her father, but he was the famous Prince T that her mother would tell her about every night before they would go to bed. About all the adventures he would go on, and the new things he would discover, it was always the sort of thing that Teagan wanted to do. Sure, it was an ambitious goal for a six year old, but she always thought that if Prince T could do it, then she could do it as well. It was a good thing to have hopes and dreams, and things that she could live towards, it was something her mother always told her to hold onto. That no matter what Teagan wanted to do over the years, that her mother would be there to support her, and now it would seem that she would have her father too. "Yaaaay! I always wanted daddy to stay!" Teagan said with a decisive nod.
It was obvious to her that the standing between her mother and father, well them and then the whole fact that Teagan still wanted them all to come together. And as she sat there counting those sewing patches and lines Teagan tried to come up with some sort of idea that would work, maybe she could come up with some sort of coloring book. Or she could find a way to make the stuffed animals come together as a family so that hers would do the same as well. Didn't everyone elses mommy and daddy live together and come and pick the other kids up from the school and all that? Well, Teagan would just have to work hard and continue to be that good kid her mother always told her she was or should be. "Well..." Teagan started and bit the bottom of her lip, much in the same manner as Tabitha, "Alright, I guess.." she said with a soft smile before finding herself watch her father leave and then watch the actions from the large hospital bedroom window.
Tabitha normally would have tried to pull back a patient that was attacking someone else, or was threatening to harm someone. However at this time, it didn't really matter to her because she figured that Tristan was doing a better of time. Normally the superviser would get some sort of warning, if anyone even dared to speak up about the things that he would do to the nurses and other doctors. And even then there wasn't much in the way of proof, so all he would get was a slap on the wrist for the things he would do, so to have someone actually do what Tristan currently was was probably the only reason that security hadn't been called the instant he had come off as intimidating. "N-Now hold on I---" The superviser couldn't get the rest of his words out before he found himself on the ground with a knee to his neck and a wand to his head.
If it wasn't for the fact that Tabitha could hear those heavy, rushed, footsteps heading their way she probably would have let the superviser sweat and shiver and shake a little more underneath Tristan. Let him get what he had coming to him because of the things that had been said, of the actions that he had chosen to make. It was quite satisfying seeing this pudgy man was squirming underneath Tristan's knee with the wand threatening him, this was probably the last thing that the superviser would have expected happening when he let those cruel words escape his mouth. And clearly here was his punishment for doing something like this, of course, with the security coming their way Tabitha was quick to step between Tristan and the large men. "Its fine boys, he's getting up, and we'll finish healing." she said carefully as she glanced between the two men. "Ipromise, I know what spell to use and then he'll calmly leave the building, no reason to use restraint."
